Lloyds Bank Charges Silver account Refused Refund

Hi all
I'm having Silver account since 2011 as I was advised that will help me to improve my credit score and get overdraft on the account.
Unfortunately this never happened and when miss sold was announced on TV I've contacted Lloyd Bank.
They called me today that my claim will be unsuccessful as I claimed my lost phone 2013 and had Travel insurance claim 2015.
Should I complain to the ombudsman or I shouldn't waste my time ?
Thanks for helping out.
Regards

It's difficult to allege that the product wasn't suitable for you when you used it.0

What were your complaint reasons?0

A Silver account would not improve your credit score more than a standard account, and I would be astonished if someone at the bank said that it would. Having any type of current account would help your credit score as that would report your conduct back to the credit agencies, but the packaged account would not do so more than a standard one.
Unless you can show you were told that was the case, and given that you have claimed twice on the account, both times for different things, I am afraid you probably don't have much of a case. That does not stop you making a complaint to the ombudsman though.0 -
I hope you remembered to downgrade your account at the same time, if it's now unsuitable.
Don't forget to get mobile phone insurance though. Things always go wrong just at that time when you switch so try and get them to end/start at the same time.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards.
