I suspect Cambridge is a great place to make a living if you have a doctorate in Applied Cleverness. The others are all up north though so see you there :)

Up north? Milton Keynes is in Buckinghamshire and fractionally further south than Cambridge. We should let you off though as everything is up north compared to Sydney;)

As any Scotsman knows, Blackburn is in the South, it's even further south than Edinburgh for heavens sake.:p

White Hart Lane is generally the extent of the North that I go to.

I do have a friend in other Newcastle. She's lovely but it is grim.

This country would be in a better state overall if everybody who lives south of Watford wasn't so prejudiced against the rest of the country.....

There are quite a lot of us Northerners (I'm originally from Newcastle, although of course that still makes me a Southerner in Hamish's eyes) that live down South. Have all the snowmen melted yet?

What happens in decades to come when London has expanded so much that the Blackburn district is on the London Outer Outer Outer Outer ring road?

Will it still be a Northern hell hole? :)

WATFORD IS NOT NEAR THE WATFORD GAP

It's also quite handy for the M65 which will help you get to London.

A motorway which runs West-East isn't that great to get you daarrn Saaarrrrfff :)

It is quite a quick motorway though. I needed to add that bit for sufferers of the M25, one of Europe's biggest car parks ;)
