Kale is probably a very popular name on the Jeremy Kyle show.0 -

You should really be looking at a 402K now.
It's got all the features of the old 401K, plus Bluetooth and leather.0 -
What a pointless, arbitrary list.
Yeah, of all the possible reasons people can't get on the property ladder, it's definitely the Kale.0 -
Not that young, but here's my comparison:mayonnaise wrote: »

It probably is. Kale probably gives you wind, making you unattractive to the opposite sex - and you need two incomes to get a shoebox these days.0 -
Just thought I'd do this for fun (though not in my 20s)
1. Daily lattes. Never drink them.
2. Unused gym memberships. Don't have any.
3. Seamless. What's that?
4. Kale. If it's the leafy vegetable that's being talked about here, I have eaten it a few times and am indifferent to it. Is it expensive?
5. Credit card interest. Have had small amounts in the past, as part of a strategy.
6. Fast fashion. Not sure what this is.
7. Brand names. Occasionally, but only to buy quality and hate displaying logos.
8. Throwing away leftovers. No.
9. Pressed juice. No.
10. Late fees. What are those?
11. Uber. No.
12. Eating out. Yes, with friends once or twice a month.
13. Overdraft fees. No. Used to have regular overdrafts of around £200 for some reason.
14. Takeaway lunch. Sometimes.
15. Paying too much for smartpone data. No.
16. The latest tech gadgets. No. I do buy Apple products because I need them for my work, but I tend to keep them for a long time.
17. Not negotiating. Search for best prices for things like insurance and utilities.
18. Overpriced cocktails. Never.
19. Missing out on tax deductions. No.
20. Dry cleaning. Yes for some things, like lined curtains, which have to be dry cleaned.
21. Fancy shampoo. No – always buy the same decent quality but not overpriced shampoo.
22. Bottled water. No.
23. Organic food. Sometimes.
24. ATM fees. No.
25. Baby carrots. No.
26. Not going to the dentist. Go 2–3 times a year to have teeth polished.
27. Boutique exercise classes. No.
28. Delivery fees. Sometimes you can't avoid them, but go for least expensive ones if possible.
29. Not taking advantage of a 401K. Someone said this was a pension (whence such a name?). Have paid into pensions in most jobs as an employee, but not as freelancer. No final salary pension, of course, because of the nature of my profession.
30. DVR, Netflix, Hulu Prime. No.0 -

It's written to appeal to people who have those prejudices already rather than to be useful.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

It's just some old git, trying to get their other old git friends to sneer at young people with theie modern things
I imagine something similar happened when automobiles were invented, and the wireless
Wireless? Why do you need to spend hapenny 2 and 6 on that when you can talk to each other? Bloody youth wasting their money0 -
Got a bag of baby carrots for 39p from Aldi and will be having them with my Sunday roast later today. Yum yum.
And why include Netflix but not Sky? We ditched Sky and swapped to Netflix, and have saved a fortune.0 -

Prolly because they don't have Sky in the US. For the same reason you'd struggle to get a 401K.0
