Which I predicted above in post 3270 - as have many.

I have to say old toastie's posts are hilarious. I do miss him. Apparently Jezzer has this election in the bag thanks to the votes of the yoof!

Maybe the high turnout of 200% in Tower Hamlets and its ilk will help? 😄😄😄😄😄

True up to a point. But how toxic a government has to be to be "too toxic to re-elect" depends to a large extent on what the alternative looks like. In the current climate, I suspect that there are a heck of a lot of swing voters (or even "wet tories") who would have voted for a Burnham or Cooper led Labour party (even if reluctantly) but would not go near one led by Corbyn.

So the presence of a really rubbish opposition massively raises the level of toxicity that a government can get away with before they become unelectable. If Labour doesn't learn the right lessons from the Corbyn fiasco (and the talk of trying to get another hard left candidate on the ballot suggests they haven't), the Tories will be able to get away with being very toxic indeed.

Although they are 100% better than Corbyn, I would not have voted for them either. Not while Labour is sabotaging Brexit and wanting open borders.

If the Conservatives are so 'toxic', why are people voting for them? Can't all be due to JC.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

Well, once we've gone back to the '70s I guess the only worthwhile way is forward ;)

Oh dear. Corbyn's car runs over BBC cameraman.

Some may suggest that's 'blue on blue'.

Laughable that Tory press talk of Labour going back to 1970s as May preaches 'boys and girls jobs' in the excrutiating sofa interview, bring back fox hunting and grammar schools. At least Corbyn cares about people. May just repeats the same old slogans day after day. She has no idea what life is like for the majority of people and her meetings are so stage managed! She is so insulated from reality...........but let's all slag off Jeremy Corbyn............well done!

I agree. There's too much hatred for Jeremy. Take this for example -

You are right but they've taken advantage of an opportunity to stick the boot in to the establishment and Corbyn clearly did not reach them . He has to resign!
