Thanks for confirming my anti Corbyn credentials. You clearly have time to trawl through my posting history. I notice you quote selectively though and miss out the ones where I say May is no better. Life is complicated sometimes you know ginge......sometimes the person representing the values you hold isnt the right head honcho for the job.0

Moby my dear, I don't need to trawl that hard because you've been consistent for months that you don't like or support Corbyn. Anyone who's read your posts should know that.
So it's a bit hypocritical of you to suddenly get all defensive of the poor chap.0 -
It's beyond me why anybody would defend Corbyn. Even otherwise intelligent-seeming people tend to say stuff like "he's very nice/honest" etc. I have seen literally no evidence of any decent qualities in him whatsoever. He's certainly not honest, his entire leadership attempt was based on a lie (he consistently claimed he didn't want to win the leadership contest, until the point where it became apparent he might do so). He happily takes parts in faked stunts such as the Virgin Trains photoshoot. As far as being nice goes, the slightest hint of a question he doesn't like & you can see he can barely control his temper (& often he doesn't control it). He also has no shame. There have been any number of incidents that would have caused any other leader to resign (massive vote of no confidence by his own MPs, disastrous by-election results, total wipeout on local elections) & he's shrugged them all off proving that he could not care less about his own party, the people in it or the people who voted for them. He's phenomenally disloyal, voting against his party leadership record amounts of times, whilst simultaneously being so hypocritical that he expects utter loyalty from the MPs he now leads.
Add to this the fact that actually he's just very very bad at politics. His policies are made up on the fly & changed instantly if the public reaction is not good (how many times have we seen him row back or change a position later the same day?). He cannot think on his feet. His debating technique consists of simply listing complaints about how terrible the UK/Corporations/the Tories are. His choice of advisors & the people he bestows the most powerful jobs upon is gobsmackingly bad, could there be a more atrocious set of people than Abbott, Thornberry & McConnell in those 3 extremely important roles? And he consistently fails to criticize or take proper action against such things as anti-semitism among his followers, whilst making all the allowances in the world for various terror groups.
It's obvious why anybody who isn't a Labour supporter would view him with disgust. What's not so clear is why any Labour supporter with an IQ above 80 wouldn't view him as even worse. He is single-handedly doing more to damage the labour party than anybody ever has before, and shows no sign of stopping even if he gets trounced in the election.0 -

There was a time when the CPGB defended Stalin. I can remember the time when sundry 'progressive academics' defended Pol Pot. Numerous other examples are available, including people who still think that Hitler was a pretty decent chap.
'History is on our side', and all that. As long as you are on the right side of history, nothing else matters.

I loathe the gutter press more than I hate Corbyn. Their attacks are viceral and unwarranted. Surely you don't have to particularly agree with someone to hate the way they are treated? This country is very stratified by class, always has been. If your face, accent doesn't fit you get hammered. Labour especially has always faced bigotry from the gutter press and their white collar stooges. I think Corbyn is incompetent; I think he is wrong on defence and his worst sin is that he is unelectable but he is authentic and he is principled. May believes in nothing except her own advancement. She was untrusted by Cameron and was 'apparently' a remainer who stayed quiet to see which way the wind blew! Due to the fact that she is now doing the work of Murdoch, Dacre, Viscount Rothermere, Richard Desmond, Barclay brothers she gets an easy ride. Thats the way it works and I will always support anyone who fights this class driven inequity.0 -

He cares about his party all right. It's just that his party isn't the Labour Party. He cares about the Labour Party like a tapeworm cares about its host.Add to this the fact that actually he's just very very bad at politics. While I broadly agree, I'm not sure that's quite right. Corbyn's policies are simply hard left and anti-West. So he sucks up to Hamas because they're opposed to Israel which is allied with the West. He sucked up to the IRA because they were Marxist and opposed to the UK. It is worth remembering that this man voted against the Good Friday agreement because it required concessions from the IRA; he thought tthere should be none.
He is, quite simply, the canonical useful idiot. He cannot think on his feet. His debating technique consists of simply listing complaints about how terrible the UK/Corporations/the Tories are.
He got two Es in his A Levels at his selective school. He is simply rather thick. His choice of advisors & the people he bestows the most powerful jobs upon is gobsmackingly bad, could there be a more atrocious set of people than Abbott, Thornberry & McConnell in those 3 extremely important roles?
It could be worse, he could have Seumas Milne as his Executive Director of Strategy and Communications .What's not so clear is why any Labour supporter with an IQ above 80 wouldn't view him as even worse. He is single-handedly doing more to damage the labour party than anybody ever has before, and shows no sign of stopping even if he gets trounced in the election.
It's sometimes said that there are constituencies where they'd vote a donkey in if it wore a red rosette. I never really believed that could be so but in fact such people can be seen in this thread.0 -

And here is the voice of a Tory.
Sneering. Dripping with contempt and supercilious self satisfied arrogance.
Exactly the kind of boorish, self serving arrogance that this country doesn't need another five years of.0 -
I thought I was ordering a Corby trouser press, but a typo meant that I actually ordered a Corbyn trouser press.
When the darn thing arrived, I found out that :-
- it would only run on Corbyn state electricity
- it needed 2 people to operate it (operator + mandatory safety officer)
I'm going to go back to the reliable flattening method, which is laying out my garments over my feet and waiting for a Labour leadership vehicle to run over them!0 -

I didn't realise until last night that Hitler was nominated for the Nobel peace prize in 1939 (source: The Chase).'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

I understand they're advertised as only working on the left leg but actually work on neither leg.Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.
It's the only way to fly straight.0
