Be afraid - very afraid....

Don't worry, it's a bit like fearing the ISS is going to land on your house. Yes, it would be an absolute disaster if it did but it simply isn't going to happen thankfully.
Meanwhile, in useless people news:
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3183793/labour-jeremy-corbyn-arsene-wenger-arsenal-job-swap/JEREMY CORBYN has ruled out a job swap with Arsene Wenger – after it was suggested they were more qualified for each other’s jobs.0 -
Corbyn has 15 months for a Labour recovery, says McCluskey
Unite boss suggests Labour leader has until local elections to turn around party’s fortunes and has criticism for Tom Watson

That's good, if Unite pulls the plug and they do replace Khorbiyn in 2028, it'll be with some no-mark who gets a second chance after losing in 2020 on the grounds that he hadn't had time to undo Khorbiyn's damage.
So that's two more elections Labour has already blown.0 -
Theresa May outpolls Corbyn among recent Labour votersRecent Labour voters are now more likely to think Theresa May would make a better prime minister than Jeremy Corbyn, according to the latest poll by YouGov. Asked who would make a better prime minister, 29 per cent of respondents who voted Labour in 2015 picked Theresa May, compared to 27 per cent who picked Jeremy Corbyn. The result is the first time Mrs May has overtaken the Labour leader in the weekly poll.

Not a day goes by that I am not cheered by the quality of Khorbiyn's leadership. I haven't liked a Labour leader this much since Michael Foot, who was just as useless and dishevelled but was at least intelligent.
I always wonder about how people answer these polls. As a centre-right voter I am delighted with how Khorbiyn is doing his job, i.e. badly, because he is keeping the left out of power. So the worse he is the happier I would be. If those polled answer in the same spirit, then a lot of those who profess to approve of his performance could be approving because he is bad, not because he is good.0 -

Foot was a fiercely intelligent man and funnily enough if you read the 1983 manifesto there are a few things that were done by the Blair/Brown Governments and continued by the Cameron one (e.g. nationalisation of banks, minimum wage). Foot also came across to me as quite personable after he left the leadership role.
By the time Michael Foot became Labour leader he'd held a couple of cabinet posts and had been deputy leader of the Labour Party as well as Leader of the House (thanks Wikipedia).
The problem with Jezza is that not only is he as dumb as a box of rocks he has pretty much no experience of running anything.
I'm not really sure what Corbynistas think the endgame is. Maybe to use Corbyn to seize control of the Labour Party rather as Stalin did of the Communist Party only the difference is they then replace Corbyn with some leftist political genius that can combine the populism of Blair or Thatcher with some hard left policies (Dianne Abbott? Rachael Maskell? Hmm, I forgot this is Labour so no women. McDonnell it is then).0 -
The thing about intelligence is that it doesn't necessarily connote good judgement. One thinks of Foot's support for CND, for example. Smart people can be just as ill-advised as painfully dim people. Smart people do, however, at least have a shot at achieving good judgement whereas dim people - such as the Jezziah - have none and are doomed to act stupid and talk stupid because they are stupid.0

Stupid is as stupid does.
Foot did part of the commentary for the 200th anniversary of the storming of the Bastille on Channel 4 and he was brilliant. Like Melvin Bragg but less adenoidy.
Foot had some very poor opinions but as I say to the kids, "Opinions are likes bottoms. Everyone has one and most of them stink".
I struggle to think of a political leader like Jezza. The closest I can come to is one of those American mayors that takes crack and shags hookers. There was one in Chicago.0 -

I've heard many things about the Shadow Home Secretary but having been a hooker isn't one of them0 -
The Greens are calling for a 3 day weekend. Ostensibly I'm all for it, but would the lost day mean GDP falling and lower tax receipts?
Lucas and other socialists on another day will be bemoaning UK low productivity and not enough money being spent on NHS etc
