Look at the German model
It isn't completely free?According to the World Health Organization, Germany's health care system was 77% government-funded and 23% privately funded as of 2004.[6] In 2004 Germany ranked thirtieth in the world in life expectancy (78 years for men).Besides the "Statutory Health Insurance" (Gesetzliche Krankenversicherung) covering the vast majority of residents, the better off with a yearly income above almost €50,000 (US$56,497), students and civil servants for complementary coverage can opt for private health insurance (about 11% of the population). Most civil servants benefit from a tax-funded government employee benefit scheme covering a percentage of the costs, and cover the rest of the costs with a private insurance contract. Recently, private insurers provide various types of supplementary coverage as an add upon of the SHI benefit package (e.g. for glasses, coverage abroad and additional dental care or more sophisticated dentures). Health insurance in Germany is split in several parts. The largest part of 89% of the population is covered by a comprehensive health insurance plan provided by statutory public health insurance funds regulated under specific the legislation set with the Sozialgesetzbuch V (SGB V), which defines the general criteria of coverage, which are translated into benefit packages by the Federal Joint Committee. The remaining 11% opt for private health insurance, including government employees.[18]

Blair/Brown borrowed a ton of money -
why do you dispute this?

That graph shows he borrowed less that previous Tory government in boom years and only borrowed more in 2008.
2002 to 2007 was a boom! So why were they borrowing!
The graphs tells you that we've never been able to afford the NHS - we've always had to borrow to pay for it. We are kidding ourselves and dumping a load of debts on the next generation. But why pay for health care when you can waste money on tat from china and foreign holidays?

I guess what is going to happen is that life expectancy will start to fall...it already has in the US.Life Expectancy In U.S. Drops For First Time In Decades, Report Finds

If you look at UK population by age you will see that there are more people in UK aged 30 to 50 than 50 to 70 that's also true for 10 to 30.0 -
Germany's model faces a crisis of it's own as the population rapidly ages. In fact Germany has the oldest population in Europe.
We'll all have to pay more tax and look after ourselves better. To fund the service we demand.0 -

Which is why Merkel invited all the migrants to Germany.....
We don't have to pay more tax - boomers can just spend more off their own money on private health insurance. I don't want to contribute more to a system which has !!!! outcomes for cancer, etc... Boomers have had it good. They have made losds of money, time to spend some of it on themselves and stop expecting young people to finance everything for them.
... We are at peak taxes...
