So you think more opportunities will come from a weak economy coupled with borrowing huge amounts of money that future generations will struggle to repay on our behalf?I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

No .....of course I don't. Labour's deficit reduction plan was little different to the current one. In fact Osborne is following Darling's general template. He has made a huge error re. tax credits though. He has brought it in too fast and before the living wage has had a chance to soften the blow to the people who will lose out. Also remember growth forecasts are now falling back. I don't see our economy as particularly strong. I also see a housing inflation bubble which means that London is a no go area for young people wanting to buy their own place. Services are growing but manufacturing and construction is nothing special at all. Tories good for the economy and Labour bad is simplistic imo.
In my own area we are now awaiting the implementation of between 25-40% spending cuts from the spending review. Judged by his own standards Osborne has to date failed to deliver!0 -
You mocked me for having no clue about UK politics because I don't live in the UK and then made a fundamental error!
Anyway, what do you think about Mr Corbyn's lack of any women in his leadership team now that you've remembered that there aren't any women in his leadership team? Do you think this reflective of his misogyny or do you think that there are no women in the Labour Party that are capable of being risked in a leadership role?
I would like to say that I find it strange that a party that professes to support the advancement of women has not only failed ever to vote a women in as leader but also demonises the only woman that has been PM of the UK. Unfortunately I can't. Mr Corbyn is emblematic of the party as a whole and I am very glad that the Labour Party has managed to have one PM elected in the last 40 years.
Harriet Harman just stood down of course.....
Present cabinet include amongst other women:-
Chief Whip - Rosie Winterton
Shadow Education - Lucy Powell
Shadow Chief Sec. Treasury - Seema Malhotra
Shadow Health - Heidi Alexander
Shadow Int. Development - Diane Abbot
Shadow Business Sec and Leader Commons - Angela Eagle
Shadow Defence - Maria Eagle
Shadow Energy - Lisa Nandy
Shadow Environment - Kerry McCarthy
Shadow Transport - Lilian Greenwood
By the way out of 232 MPs Labour has 99 women. The Tories out of 331 MP's have 68 women!0 -

Well, there's an understatement! Labour didn't really have a plan, and teh Conservatives were shackled for a few years due to the Coalition, so we had lots of talk of much-needed cuts but not enough action. It's now back on track, and about time.Tories good for the economy and Labour bad is simplistic imo.
True, but it's a handy rule of thumb, and is what the voters have experienced. In my own area we are now awaiting the implementation of between 25-40% spending cuts from the spending review. Judged by his own standards Osborne has to date failed to deliver!
I guess you're not trying to hire people at the moment. Unemployment is down, salaries in skilled areas are rising fast, and it looks like the government is now serious about reducing wastage.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

I think they`ve moved on from reducing wastage to seriously reducing the size of the state and rationing the duties our public services tradtionally perform.
In law and order for example, its goodbye Bobbies on the beat and a possible 40% reduction in prison places.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

We all know there are five big jobs in the Labour Party: Leader, Deputy Leader and shadows of the Chancellor and the Home and Foreign Secretaries. All are white, middle-aged men as are all of Mr Corbyn's senior SPADs.
Mr Corbyn is prepared to give inconsequential jobs to the girls but when it comes to anything with any weight only the pale, male and stale need apply.
Large companies do the same thing. If you dig into the data, while the number of women directors is growing, the numbers in executive positions isn't anything like as encouraging. Women get to be NEDs not CEOs.0 -

That criticism has been made in the media. The Dep Leaders job was won by election and I wouldnt call many of those shadow posts as inconsequential as you put it. I note you selecively say nothing about the numbers of female MPs?0
