Ahh, had a lovely walk with the dog, I did one circuit of a route I know and it was only 4,000 steps so decided to tag on a little more that turned out to be quite a bit more than I thought and I have now one 9,500 steps, which included three hills, so my legs are feeling it a bit
Really chuffed as that's most of todays steps target met and now I can get on with the rest of the day

Morning, I've got up and done todays bit of C25k, it's warm out there again today and I'm finding it stupidly tough but hey ho, another day ticked off

Todays plan is to do a couple of trips to the tip with the old car boot stuff from the garage, then get the car cleaned inside and out. I also have kettlebells at 5.15 later.
Off for a shower now then breakfast and walking the dog, my c25k only took 2,500 steps so plenty more to fit in

Dog has had a walk around the park and along the clifftop, steps now are just over 6,000. My leg muscles ache from the c25k which is pathetic as I am only doing the very beginning of it at the moment
but I guess it does mean my muscles are waking up again at last

Try not to be concerned by the initial pain you may feel when you start running again. You're body is just getting used to the movement again-as you said the muscles are just waking up again-and pretty soon you won't be feeling the pain anymore.
It's good that you are following a training plan, and when you stop following that and start running of your own will it would be good to keep some sort of diary so you can keep track of your achievements. When I very first started running and was doing run/walk breaks I kept a note of everything and each run there was something to celebrate. Either it was a new best time, or my longest continuous running segment, or the least time spent walking, because I kept track even if i had found the run hard I knew i was improving or that I had achieved something.
I would say find a local park run or a local 5k race to enter after a suitable period as the runners high you will get from taking part in an event with the crowd cheering you on will keep you going for a long time afterwards.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Thanks Florence, when I ran before I used to log everything on Map My Run, I loved seeing my times improve, but I'm an awful long way off of that at the moment

I survived kettlebells, in fact I actually really enjoyed kettlebells again
All the same people were there, it was like I hadn't been away and actually I wasn't too knackered at the end. I did drop down to a 6kg bell, I used to use an 8kg bell and sometimes a 10kg if I was feeling brave. I will get back there
