So you can't afford to buy your round - do you drink in public or at 'home' ? What is this ?
You do not have to match your friend's spending or join in her social life - you have to find work ! She already has work so she can afford the lifestyle you might aspire to - but you are not there yet !
Eat 'in' , drink 'in' , get a any local part-time temporary job to get you started and still leave you time to find the real one . Then offer your friend something in the way of rent so as she stays willing to wait for you to get your 'proper job' . Talk to her , tell her where you are !
You sound a little too helpless to make it - I'm sorry to say that , but you have to get real . Talk ! Face it ! Act !0 -
Your unemployed and still going out buying drinks and food for your friend, here's an idea...............STAY IN.If you said that you would pay for things before moving in and she agreed, then you should stop moaning. As your on the dole you must be getting about £60 plus per week and i'm sure you could feed yourself on half that, assuming you know how to operate an oven.Back to basics, learn how to budget and set yourself targets without excuses.Tell your friend you have to cut back and your friend will tell you it's fine.0

Are you on benefits? If you are and are living in a friends house then why haven't you applied for Housing Benefit so you can pay your friend rent?
Stop paying for things you haven't got the money for, that is silly of you to do this.
Why is your friend accepting you buying things for them when they know you've got no money or have you got some? Where are you getting your income from?
Much more information needed.0 -
Is this another of the Moneysaving hypothetical scenarios? If it ain't a real problem with a real person needing help, keep it off the forum please!0
