Pleasantly surprised to see £64 pending withdrawal on quidco, the bulk of that was from my car insurance a couple of months ago so faster than I expected.

I now have a week off for school hols. Looking forward to a few chilled days :)

We had a lovely break away for Easter. Accommodation was free so just fuel & food paid for. Perfect timing with the weather.

Another little weekend break coming up over first may holiday. That was paid for as a celebration for new job coming up / end of longest restructure I've ever known. It made me pretty moody at times I owe DP & DD a little treat.

I've been a bit spendy recently not just on me but also DD & DP, I think each little shop (thankfully inexpensive taste) brought about some relief., a little distraction from the work front. Needs to stop now though my next few pays will be a bit lower than I'm used to and I can't stop saving as we need to stick to our goal of early next year before DD starts secondary school.

Oh my gosh I can't quite believe I'll have a teenager

Another break away, freezing cold but unbelievable sunshine made for spectacular photos and always a bonus it wasn't overly busy!
The dogs roamed to their hearts content, DP & DD got hooked on 2p machines and winning tickets to stock up on sweets and slime:rotfl: and I got so see Durdle Door! It was absolutely amazing... It took serious effort to walk down the steep steep cliff side and I was ready to collapse walking back up... But it was worth it.

My last day at work has come, il be saying my final goodbyes tomorrow  then starting new job on Monday :T:j

I'm really really looking forward to it. Not so much the paycut, but hopefully that's short term and redundancy will take the sting off it until my pay goes up.

    Hello bellevie,

Congratulations on getting through your notice period and the very best of luck with your new job. It all sounds like a great move in the right direction.

Have you decided on a new diary? Do you ever read the first pages of your current diary to see how far you've come?

I'll keep an eye on here to see what your new job is like. I really hope it's the breath of fresh air you deserve after the last place.

First week was a little tough. It felt chaotic for most parts. I'm mindful I've just walked in during a transitional period, a lot of contracted staff due to be leaving soon so there's a little more to come but hopefully soon things will get better.

The nature of my job also means I tend to be out and about rather than in the office which may also be why I felt off kilter. There's a policy that for the first month visits are joint but the person attending is very busy which means I can't do my back to back visits its likely to be one a day if that... It feels very alien. I think being the same role I expected to be allowed to hit the ground running.

Small payday on Monday for the couple of weeks at my old job, redundancy should follow soon after. I'm looking forward to wiping that small debt & topping up my savings :j

2nd week was so much better, busy and it felt right.

Rendundancy has been paid 1 debt clear, the other is interest free so I'll pay that off bit by bit earn interest for the time being.

I kept some money aside as I'm unsure on this months payment from new job (cut off date) if I get paid as I expect I'll get the rest into savings.

Our tenancy ends next July, I don't plan to sign for another year so I'm hopeful we will be ready to go by then :T

It's been a while since updating.

Rocky start to new job not the job itself but one of the managers behaviour towards me. She seems to have taken a disliking to me. I really started to think of leaving its become that uncomfortable but I've found out that someone else left before me for the same reason and another was transfered to another team. I love the job I do so I don't really want to transfer or leave. I'm trying to hold it together, the manager is contracted in so I know it isn't a forever situation. Every week I get through I have to consider a success :T

Im still saving away at a slower pace due to the slight pay cut but progress is progress. Next & Very paid off so now just car loan until October next year.

In other news we have booked our wedding!!! 6 months to go:eek:

With more to save towards and my paycut I've got to get back to watching the pennies.

I saved £30per month of my gas & electric yesterday felt very pleased with myself :)

We let our grocery shop slide a little with home deliveries as its just been easier but with Lidl & aldi minutes away from my workplace now I'm going to try and get that down again.
