I was very tempted with the o/d but sat there for a while thinking why I want it and if I really needed it, the answer was to spend on rubbish impulse buys, and no I don't need it!!

It's all about changing the way my brain is wired and it seems to be changing slowly .

Its funny that you say about changing the way you think, I have started to think differently about money already and its in a good way. :D

I actually think about things before I jump straight in and buy buy buy.

  • Well I have had a really good couple of days, I got an unexpected bonus from work :j which I still cannot quite believe ! Not a huge amount, but it adds to my savings which I am really grateful for. I have had a no spend weekend so far which is also great!

Dinner is sorted for today, I have gammon veg and potatoes with gravy (one of my favorites) so no need to spend any money today as well, which all helps.

I have swapped all my money around so am ready for my current account switch, I was a bit twitchy about it all going through correctly so I have made sure I have enough money in both accounts for my DD's ! I know there is a switch guarantee but having worked so hard to improve my credit history I did not want to risk anything at this moment!

Hope everyones weekend has been moneysaving :)

Glad all pooches and cats are ok.

YNAB is pretty amazing, I am now addicted. Also great as a student they give membership until the end of the year.

Sorry to hijack your diary but I am really interested to know how you get the extended membership for being a student as I cant see this on the site?

  • Well done on making the most of the incentives with the banks. I am already with the H@lifax and love the free £5 every month. You have inspired me to go and re-look for any other offers that are out there as OH's could do with switching.
