How do know if you haven't seen the letter? Very doubtful that the letter would contain sufficient information for some one to simply view your account.

I know that when/if I receive the letter - ALL that I need to confirm my ID is my Birthdate (this is stated in the email from Experian) - together with the passkey (which is in the letter)

"Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for ordering a copy of your Statutory Credit Report from Experian.
We have sent a letter to your home address, containing a Pass Key. You'll need to enter this Pass Key and your Date of Birth in order to see your Statutory Credit Report.
Log in to see your Experian Statutory Credit report
The letter containing your Pass Key should arrive within 7 working days from today. If you do not receive it within this time, please email us at pinletter@uk.experian.com, including your name and address.

Many thanks,

It has now been over 2 weeks since I requested a Credit report from Experian - still nothing has arrived
I complained to Experian last Saturday, they replied on Monday - telling me that they had resent the letter to me with access code in it ...
I am assuming that the original was delivered to the wrong address ?
(this gives anyone with my birthdate - access to my financial records)

Why did I bother ?

Experian has done this to me as well - after 2 weeks, I emailed them and they 'resent' it, took a while but got there in the end.

I emailed Experian last week to inform them that I had been waiting for two weeks for the letter with the code to be sent to me - they didn't even apologise, simply telling me that another letter had been posted - this was 7 days ago - guess what ?
No letter has arrived .....

Did you check your address with them? They are usually not too bad delivering the reports. I got mine in 3 days last week.

• Unreliable??? ....Experian / CreditExpert more so!!! :o
• I've waited for 2 months for Experian to answer me ...they are notoriously POOR...unless someone else asks for your Credit Report without your authority

I have today (over 3 weeks from ordering the report) received the letter - giving me access to my statutory credit report...
This shows diddly squat :

Our joint Nationwide account - is shown, incorrectly as containing £0 and has done since 2003
Plus we have a large number of credit searches (from insurance quotes) - that is all that is shown !!
I am assuming therefore that we have not been subject to hacking ?
