We go sat and sun. Fruit and veg lasts the week. We take the back packs to carry it home in if we don't have our bikes.

I try to only go to Ald* once a week but with a Co-op and a Sainsb**** practically on my door step it is far too easy to 'pop' in for 1 thing and come out with £20 worth!!!
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

I usually go to Sainsburys and Aldi on Thursdays. Whilst I do like Aldi I can't always get everything I want.

The fruit lasts for a week, no problems, we have bananas, satsumas, grapes and apples. I have bananas, OH has the others.

We don't buy any fresh veg only frozen so can't help there.

We freeze a loaf of bread into 1/3rd of a loaf and defrost as needed.

Milk, we have from the milkman, 3 pints a week on alternate days.

I go very seldom and buy the minimum. It's just me and I eat little (more than 1200 calories/day and I put weight on), so, having bought a few things I've enough food for a week. Also, I try to resist going as there are sweeties out there and they're too tempting! I probably buy more sweeties than food to be honest :)
  • Aldi and a. n. other once a week, asda for a top up once during midweek if needed, Costco or farm shop once every two months ago for meat and fish.

    That's exactly what I've found.
No custard powder, loose leaf tea, coffee beans, hot chocolate (they have the sort you make with water, I require the sort you make with milk), and only very limited veggie frozens. Often they are out of stock of something they had previously - haven't seen grapefruit juice in there for several weeks now.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Online fruit & veg box (also with dairy & household) once a week.
Big supermarket once a week for things I cannot get from VB and on behalf of others, but not that big a total spend.
Small supermarket for top-up of the freshest fruit if necessary once a week.
I drink oat milk rather than cows', so I always have that in stock.

General shop once a week to Aldi, lactose free milk about every 2 weeks from wherever and pick up anything else I don't get in weekly shop like 10kg bags of basmati rice. Meat from butchers about every 3-4 weeks in larger quantities then portioned up for the freezer.
After 8 years of Aldi shopping I think I have adapted my meal plan to their produce! The butcher has been a recent addition after having to collect something for a friend and finding them both friendly and well priced, I previously bought it at Aldi and still buy meat there when it is 50%off short dated.
All the shopping is done on the same day, i don't have time to go the rest of the week, we have 2 fridges and 3freezers though so can store it. I also do an occasional approved food shop but probably no more than 3 per year.

Once a week for me but OH loves shopping for bits and pieces so I let him get on with it. He usually includes things like milk and bread if he thinks we need them but I never know for certain what he will bring home. He pays BTW its not my money.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.
