O2 2g/3g
As far back as I can remember I have never been able to use 2G/3G (E/H) on my smart phone with O2.
My previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy S3 and my new phone is a Sony Xperia Z3 compact.
O2 have accepted that the problem is not with the device but are refusing to investigate anything network related so they have agreed to send me a 'dead lock' letter.
Has anyone else experienced a problem with 2G/3G not working on the O2 network?

So your saying that you have no data or no signal?
Is this anywhere in the country or just local to you?
Can anyone else around you get a signal on O2?
It really does sound like a phone issue / APN issue if you have a signal but no data?

The only data type I have ever been able to use is H+.
Voice calls work completely fine.
Signal strength varies but can be maximum and still no data.
I have 4G on my new phone but don't need it so just stick with H+ and have switched off 4G.
I had the same problem with my last phone and have had three new SIM cards.0 -
Does this just happen in one area? Or if you go to a different city does it work?“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0

Happens everywhere and all the time. Even when I'm out and about in London.0

Just trying to remove all options, have you tried that sim card in another phone to see if it works in that?
If it does work fine in another phone then it sounds like there is nothing wrong with the sim and the network. Which can only leave your phone.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -
Same problem in any phone.0

O2 accept that it is definitely not the phone.0

Have you asked them for a new sim card?“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0
