Corned Beef
was speaking to my mum yesterday on the phone and she said my gran wanted a tin of corned beef and she paid £2 for it at sainsburys , i was shocked saying that was expensive but checked Asda where i work and it was same price for princes brand
i always thought corned beef was proper cheap and aimed at those who couldnt afford luxuries
how wrong i was :rotfl:

I'm glad someone else has noticed this! Even in places like Lidl and Aldi, corned beef is at least £2 I think. Such a shame - I love corned beef hashJust Keep Swimming!0

The cheapest is ASDA (£1.49) followed by Sainsbury's & Tesco (£1.50).If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

It jumped right up in price a few years back..
Funny enough I had corned beef and onion sandwiches last night for tea, and for lunch today.... YummyWork to live= not live to work0 -

thats for a small tin 200g or 340g if its Asda smart price
the standard size 340g are £2 for princes
be interesting to see if poundland do them and home bargains/b&m
if someone asked me how much a tin was i would say no more than £1"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0 -

Sorry but can't remember exact prices but I'm sure they have corned beef cheaper in BM and definitely in Farmfoods if you have one.
I've seen corned beef in £ shop but it's Ye Olde Oak. It's not a brand I've tried (although their ham's OK).0 -
Aldi have it for £1.49 (340g)0

Ye Olde Oak corned beef comes in an ordinary tin - so much easier to use a tin opener than the traditional key style opener.0
