reusing teats

I used the same bottles with baby #1 & 2 but replaced the teats. It does say that they should be replaced after 3months but who takes any notice anyway? However I would be worried about components breaking down like others said esp after so long. For the sake of a few quid I'd rather be safe than sorry.Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach that person touse the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.:D0

Follow manufacturer's recommendations - no issue with the sterility it's whether they are begining to perish or not.0

of course the manufacturer is going to say change them after 3m.
as for silicone deterioration, the mooncup is made from silicone and that is recommended to be replaced after 10yrs.
personally i wouldnt be worried about reusing teats. as you say, unless they have split there is nothing wrong with them

Years ago I knew someone who was admitted to hospital with stomach pains, they operated and removed a teat from his gut's somewhere it must have been there since he was a baby
. This was about 10 years ago and he was in his twenties, then again he did sometimes say things that I doubted were completely true. I dunno I think I would look out for bargain teats myself and save money some other way.

blimey, my teats never lasted that long!
i wouldnt re-use them or bottles, they arent exactly expensive are they.0 -
Omg i didnt know what a mooncup was and had to google it!! I dont think i could wear one of those! lol
If you have mainly breastfed then im guessing your teats would of had hardly any use, Its a bit different if your babies had been solely bottle fed then i would say the teats need changing0
