    Evening all,
Just a quick check in as we've been out all day and I'm shattered.
Its been beautiful weather here in South Wales so my mum, ds's, niece & I went to an adventure park/zoo for the day. Paid for using Tesc0 clubcard days out tokens. I was going to take a picnic but my mum said she was treating us to lunch there as I was driving.
The kids asked for ice cream but I told them they could have one after tea at home (saving about £15!)
    Other mse things
    Checked banking/updated spreadsheets
Used m&s gift card to buy lots of ys items from ms food
Day 3 no sky tv and its Dave Gorman via uktv app for us on the tele tonight :)
Took bottles of tap water to the zoo
Left overs for tea, nice, quick & easy after a busy day.

FVD - Have never had any adverse comments about recycling carrier bags as eBay packaging. In fact, I regularly receive positive feedback about my excellent packing! I think it's because I actually open the bag right out & use it to cut out a big sheet of plastic which I then use as wrapping paper. I suppose some people must just shove the item in a bag & tape the top. Mine are sooooo much more classy than that, lol x

Thanks Ally for getting us started, good luck with your interview and enjoy you coffee and cake afterwards.

Thankfully I had no trouble sleeping last night. Today we are going to be based at home we plan on having a couple of lessons (including maths & German), doing some house work, later today one of my nephews is coming over for a few hours and this evening the children have a karate class.

    Today I plan to:

Turn off lights and appliances not in use
    B/L/D from stores
    make bread
    Return library books
    Soak porridge overnight
    Set DW to run overnight
    Set WM to run overnight
    Check FPL
    Educate children for free
Entertain children and us for free
    Walk everywhere

    Have a lovely day everyone.

About to go to bed but I wanted to report my progress, I managed every thing on the list except bread as we have enough for tomorrows lunch so I'll delay making any more fresh stuff until this is gone, I also haven't done the porridge as my get up and go left awhile back.

  • Evening all and hello to all new posters!

    Fingers-crossed for the interview Ally

We've just got back from a lovely four days camping. It was so relaxing and the only day I spent money was on a meal yesterday for the boyfriend's birthday. I could happily spend my days sitting in the sun reading a book! We're going to try and fit in a final weekend trip next month before the end of the season.

I've only got half a week left off work so need to put the time to good use!

    - NSD today and all meals from stores - have a very full freezer atm
    - Listed four items on the staff classifieds page at work - if they all sell I'll make £120
    - Bank checked and spending diary updated
    - FPL done, surveys to do before bed
    - Moved some pictures and kitchen stuff into boyfriend's house. Filled in some holes with filler and hung the pictures. Going to paint the hallway on Thursday. We've moved forward the official "moving in together" date to the end of September so I need to sort my stuff out
    - We'll be trying out the new breadmaker tomorrow - very excited about this!
