Afternoon, just been on my online banking and have reduced my payments slightly to the credit cards there still above the minimum amounts required but as I know I'm not going to have a very good pay slip this month I don't want to slip back into my old ways, particularly as it's 5 weeks til my next payday. I don't want to try and run before I can walk.

Its a long long stroll through numerous weather fronts, but when you see the sun from the top of the mountain you know the weathered walk was worth the beauty and fresh air ;)
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)
  • It is indeed diamonds but when you see the sun breaking the clouds you know you're doing something right.:)

So do you pay all your credit cards equally? I pay the minimums on most but hammer one at a time. The one that needs paying first. Do all yours expire at roughly the same time? I think you're doing really well balancing a budget so you won't get in debt again. X

  • Hi Everyone, blimey has Christmas been and gone already, what happened there lol. Kitten yes I try and pay them both equally although this month is a bit tight due to an early payday and slightly less pay than usual. We had a lovely albeit quiet Christmas just the two of us. I've been working since boxing day today was manic at work due to what's happened up north my heart goesbout to them it really does. Have bought my wrapping paper and gift tags ready for Christmas next year. The wrapping paper was £2 and it was reduced to 50p per roll also got my tags for 10p and 8 tags per packet so quite chuffed with that. Hope you've all had a lovely Christmas.

Merry Christmas Lincs1205! Hope you've had a lovely time :)
I'm wondering if I should start doing that. As after this card they finish around the same time. Just really want to get down as few creditors as I can. I suppose it's whatever suits your mind set x

Hi lincs, how's things going with debt busting?

I agree that Christmas seems to have disappeared in the blink of an eye! Hope you had a good new year!

Happy New Year Kirstypoos, I worked all of new year but had the weekend off which was very nice and I have also got another three days off after today. Debt busting is going ok I have gone under the £12000 mark over debt which I am very pleased about and I have paid off £1159.45 since I started debt busting last year. Have to say I am probably going to go into my overdraft this month as despite cutting my credit card payments down I have still underestimated how much I have spent. Back on it now though.

    Fab news, well done!

Have you posted in the Milestone Inn? It's nice to be able to post your achievements and being under 12K is a great one! I do regular (monthly or bi-monthly depending how I'm feeling) posts on my diary to keep track how much I've paid off etc and it really helps to focus me, just an idea for you :)

ooo that's a good idea. Thanks for that, regarding overdrafts I would like to reduce mine from £1000 down to either £250 or £500 do you know if the bank would frown upon me for doing that it's just I don't want that big an overdraft. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thankyou

I don't know if they'd frown on it, but I wouldn't have thought so. I plan to reduce mine in small amounts as I get it paid off once other debts are paid, so I hope not!
