As it is a safety recall, they will most likely give the car a full valet as well. Especcially as they will be getting a large fee for fixing the issue.

Just do it in a couple of weeks since you are promptly dismissing all other suggestions. Most recalls are for things that went wrong in a tiny number of vehicles so I suspect the chances of your brakes killing you during the next couple of weeks are vanishingly small.
