Lidl loyalty card trial in Scotland

Yes - Lidl will normally put a limit on its popular products - to prevent exactly what you tried to do and drain their stocks ,stopping others having a chance of buying..
Even so some stores run out of the weekend offers quite quickly , while others seem to be able to control stock levels a lot better.
Nothing to stop you going round a couple of time though0 -

The blurb reads: "Knock pounds off your big shop, again... and again... and again. The smarter shopping card - the new way to save pounds on your weekly shop. With a fresh offer every week you can save as many times as you like."
The mailshot doesn't mention anything about signing up to register the card (though it does say to see in-store for full T&Cs so there may be more to it). They're referring to it as a "voucher card" - like a reusable coupon to cover the different offers. That would certainly keep the admin costs down if they're not going to keep a record of card holders' details.
Such a great loyalty card!!! Loyalty only lasts for 2 months!!! I know it's a trial, but really, your/their loyalty doesn't seem to last long.0 -

Yes, my OH even offered to stop at another two Lidls on the way back so I could have got 24 more bars (2.4KG:eek:) if I had wanted them.
£8 off a £40 spend from today. I don't have any problem spending that much. I just stand next to their fresh fish and fresh meat sections and pause. Things magically jump into the trolley. Now if they could just get the act together a bit more and stock Warburtons bread.... Though, having said that, their bakery baguettes are quite nice and a bargain at 19p each.0 -

Just a quick one to say on my receipt today it said from 10th to 16th £5.00 off £25 spend again.0

Next offer is £6.00 off £30 spend.
Hope it helps someone, our lidls are a lot more busier.0 -
I managed to get up to the £25 again this week but its becoming a struggle, my stock cupboards are full, still I got my £5 off
The loyalty card trial is going to be a bit messed up in my store though, the checkout staff are using a card that they keep by the till "to save time" and when I pointed out that it will make the trial pointless, she didn't seem to care all that much.
Judging by the trolleys going through full, one card will have £1000's on it each day and no other card in the area will have anything registered against it.0 -

I too thought that Lidl would be wanting to track individual spending habits, albeit anonymously since they don't collect personal details, but, out of curiosity, I flicked through some of the cards in a couple of local branches recently and they all had the same barcode: 2022_1669 and the same 'serial number': 0003424. So I guess it doesn't matter which of the instore cards is used?
However, the card I received in a mailshot had the same serial number as the instore cards but a different barcode: 2022_1652
Another one that fell out my newspaper last weekend had, again, the same serial number but a different barcode: 2032_7682.
If other people's barcodes are the same, then it would seem that Lidl are using this trial to find out which approach is best for bringing in the customers - mailshots, newspapers or if they're already Lidl customers anyway by picking up a card instore.0 -
Was in the other day, got £5 off £25, but there was an older couple in front, checkout lady told them, "you've spent £21 if you go grab something for £4 you will get £5 off" they just replied no it's ok, She told them it's ok I'll wait a minute, but they were adamant they didn't want to do that?? No helping some people.Booo!!!0
