I remember Three gives you these signal booster box which works with ethernet cable.
Maybe ask Vodafone if they have got something similar. That way you will have signals at home.

(I purchased a iphone 6 with vodafone contract in May 2015. There has been no mobile signal in my house since day 1)

I read that as OP never checked beforehand and is therefore at fault not the network .

Both EE and Three also use/used the sure signal type box, don't forget that WifiCalling is only available for certain phones and the inTouch app is pretty rubbish to use.

For pennies a month and a very small amount of data it sounds as if you were just being obstinate, if having good signal was that important most people wouldn't mind the insignificant amount of electricity and data used.

This is a money saving forum last time I looked, so I assumed that people here cared about 'insignificant amounts of electricity'.

They do, but the OP doesn't see why he should have to use his electricity or Internet to power one of them, it's Vodafones problem to ensure he receives a perfect signal inside his house.

Take the 'money saving' ethos to the extreme then, don't pay for a mobile phone contract at all. If you really have to have a mobile have a budget non-smartphone on 321 PAYG.

Don't pay for gas or electricity, use blankets to keep warm and candles for light.

Don't have a car, walk to work (doesn't matter it's 20 or 30 miles) this is 'money saving'.

    Sounds stupid?

About as stupid as begrudging pennies and kilobytes in order to have a reliable phone signal (that you claimed to be a necessity).

Are you sure a candle is cheaper than, say, a 20W incandescent lamp (not to mention fluorescent and LED)

The 20w lamp won't work without the electricity he won't have to pay for to attain the super 'money saving' that entails saving 2p per day that a sure signal box would consume ;).

And don't forget, I did say it sounds stupid :p.
