Correct. But before you do it ensure that you have activated. So since i successfully upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
I can now clean install any time in future if my PC suffers from fatal viruses ?

EDIT: text from article that is relevant:-
"Please be aware that you cannot use the free upgrade offer to perform a clean install on first attempt. You must first upgrade from the qualifying version of Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 (whether you do it through Windows Update or using the .ISO file). Ensure the upgrade is completed successfully and then ensure that it is activated. You can then proceed to do a clean install by using recovery media or using the Reset function in Start > Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Reset this PC (Get Started).

So I don't have to have a CD to clean install it.
Activated Windows 10 can do this itself from start menu ?0 -
Sometimes the most obvious solution is best! You should have said you tried it

Another basic question then - what are the specs of the system?
Quite often you'll get the busy icon on boot as you'll get Windows loaded, then it has to load some extra stuff, just to get you to the desktop faster.
If you've got 1GB RAM and/or your drive is nearly full you could be using virtual memory a lot, which can really bog a system down.0 -

you should download a copy of Win10 from Microsoft.

Then burn it to a DVD or create a Bootable USB stick:

You can then do a full wipe and reinstall of the OS.
If you have already successfully upgraded to Win10 from Win 7/8/8.1 then you do not need a product key (this is held on Microsoft Servers). You just skip the dialogue box asking for a key.
Win10 had the option to "Reset" Like you do with your Smartphone or tablet. It sets itself back to the default settings and programs. (Never used this so unsure about what happens personal documents and bits of installed programs being left hanging around.)Laters

One thing I've noticed is with Win10 it will tell you after a couple of reboots if any program is slowing down start-up and giving you the option to disable it or delay the starting of that program till the boot as reached the desktop stage.Laters

Not the start menu but Settings, Update & security, Recovery, and as stated by S0litaire...So I don't have to have a CD to clean install it. Unless I'm being more stupid than usual, this doesn't download the actual Windows 10 ISO, but a 32-bit and a 64-bit media creation tool to burn the pre-downloaded ISO to DVD or to USB Flash Drive...!you should download a copy of Win10 from Microsoft.
