Problems with Tesco homephone and broadband

I had a similar issue when, earlier this year, Virgin Media decided to ditch all their non-cable customers onto Talk Talk. I was getting a reasonable 1.5Mb but with Talk Talk it dropped to 0.5Mb. Sometimes, during busy periods, it was even slower than that!

I've since moved to Plusnet and now get 1.9Mb all the time. This is probably all I can expect from my 6km line.

VM got rid of 100,000 customers to TT, so I can only assume that must have caused capacity issues in some areas. I don't know how many Tesco and PO customers they took on, but that could only have made matters worse.

TT are subsequently ditching all their customers that are not on an LLU exchange (the ones where TT do not have a presence) to Fleur Telecom. The cynic in me reckons that's because TT do not want to pay BTW the extra cost of providing more capacity at these exchanges.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who had ended up with Fleur and how good their service is.
