I think that's right.
A new whipping boy (girl) to be found.
Unfortunately after talking to a colleague yesterday I think it's her.
I did try to convince her to come with me - wouldn't be the first time I did that. Bit naughty but they should've made her permanent!0 -
It's one thing I'm really glad of, in being self employed, and not even sub contracting, which I used to. Those politics are horrendous. I'm glad you've taken the next step2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Don't blame you KC.
The blessed scales have packed up. I was expecting a little good news...the batteries are new. Grrr.
Not a very MSE day.0 -
2nd in department blabbed before I had chance to tell anyone.
I *hate* when people do that.
Supermassive congratulations on the new job SHS, as a fellow job whinger, I am very pleased to see one of us taking the logical step
Go you.0 -
Thanks Ed.
I will probably start whingeing about this one in a few years.
For me, 5 years is optimum in any job I think.
Blog updated. Scales working again...just have to get up the courage!0 -
Gosh, I'll have been in my current job for 14 years, come January. Have worked under 4 heads, tried very hard to get out from one of them but didn't succeed and then a change of regime arrived so I stayed... I guess I like it there...!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Its a personality thing. I get bored/itchy feet easily.
Another two pounds lost so four this week.
I guess my motivation is back. Hopefully to stay.0 -
Sort of depends on your line of work but I would definitely not stay for more than a few years in any place until I've reached my late 30s I think. Otherwise I'd be limiting my earnings which would increase from swapping companies, and I would get stuck promotion wise by working under people that would need to leave or retire before I could get ahead. I've been at my current job for 2,5 years and I'm looking to switch after ChristmasMortgage Oct '20: £615k

Hey Petal *waves*
It seems from reading MMM that it's very much the american model of doing things.
Hmnnnn. We have just decided the the free version of "Every Dollar" is not working for us.
In fact we are feeling very scorched earth and going back to paper and pen.
I am also seriously considering binning the CC.0 -
MMM is something I have still not got around to reading! I am sure I tried to download that app but couldn't. A paper trail can work to track spending. I'll bin mine if you bin yours! Used my t3sc0 one for the points but the balance is more than it should be from a stoozing perspective.
