Yep!
Eldest is 20 before Xmas, so not sure how many more years of doing this we have left
My bro and I are nearly 30 but Mum still makes us and our OHs stockings. Though we have migrated to piling downstairs to open them. Six adults don't really fit on the bed! (And it might be a bit weird).0 -
Never weird at Christmas!
Got home, made kids tea, spent TWO hours form filling and organising. Then made our dinner. Just sat down.
Oof!0 -
Trying so hard and then DD hit with another episode of what looks like a form of migraine. Oof!0

Expectations for an air bnb room please?0

Well done on the OP :T
Not sure on airbnb expectations, but I am getting excited about Christmas0 -
Thanks. I am not excited about Christmas but I have ordered the food.
I pranged someone's car yesterday and left my number. She very sweetly rang and said it wan't that bad and not to worry. Sent her an orchid in a bowl.
She seemed surprised I had left my number.0 -
Hi SHS,
Airbnb guest rate you and make suggestions themselves
it's horrifying as you want to have a nice star rating. And you have to rate your guests which I find really difficult. I peddle the same old sentences out.
Our top floor bedroom has a wardrobe area/dressing area so guests asked for hairdryer, iron, ironing board. We have liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel (poundland or Hbargain )
We like as little interaction as possible really... taking their money and runningso small guest fridge, TV tea coffee water bread butter milk jams biscuits toaster and microwave kettle are useful.
We have local area info leaflets and bus time tables on a small table (requested by guests) I need to develop a file with further info that's has become apparent is needed. We also have a bookcase with some games, books, travel guides... the list is endless.
Oh bedroom furniture, big bed, comfy chairs ,extra blankets, heater in case we haven't got the heating on..... I can go on and onMortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20220 -

things that are appreciated:
options to control temperature (extra blankets/ heater if room is cold)
bedside lamps
wifi
easy access to sockets for charging electricals
info on local area - coffee table type picture books can be a nice touch. The best air b&B we've stayed in had a display book full of info on local restaurants, petrol stations and their usual opening hours. Was really useful and appreciated
if space permits, a comfy chair or two, side table and tea/coffee facilities.
again thinking back to little touches that made our favourite air b&b a home from home, she had golf umbrellas we could borrow during inclement weather.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Thanks. mfd what kind of reviews? And is airbnb not the way to go?
We will have a double bed with new mattress, bedside tables and lamps, some drawers and hanging space, a sofa, table and chairs, kettle, toaster, mini fridge.
Lots of sockets and own bathroom, radiator.
I guess we could get a hairdryer. What do you charge?0
