Doesn't it? I checked the listing and the "street view" is on a different street.

One of my tenants told me that in a previous house managed by an agent they had a repair I would have seen as being an urgent matter pending for two months because the agent just failed to communicate with anyone. This particular tenant is brilliant, so you would think the agent would be keen to keep them happy. We won't have them for much longer, they've given notice as they've bought their own house. Somehow I've managed to get involved with some work on that in the new year. :rotfl:

  • Great that you are so busy.
  • This morning I have trailered ponyplops up the road so DD can ride out with pony club folk. They are doing it in Devon time and left 30 minutes later than planned. So I get to sit in the car for two hours.
I was offered a horse to ride but it would not be fair as I am too damn fat.

When I met him I was glad I had said no since he is only 14h something and I know him from pony club. He is lovely. They do have a feisty 16.3 thoroughbred though...

    Still oscillating about the job

I think most of the objections are about my ego...

I might lose out to an NQT
Our head might think less of me
I might suffer under the infamous HOD

Those are all about my ego really. Then there is
    7 hours a week gained
At least £100 a month gained

    Hmmnnn.

Go for the job - think of the extra 28 hours a month - that's over a day!
And - set a target date to get back on a horse - I know you want to and I know you can do it in 2017 :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I second Watty re. getting back on a horse. :)

We've been ridiculously indulgent this Christmas; I probably need to move a bit more and eat a bit less over January. Will be having an alcohol free target of 28 days if you wish to join me and a full 31 day cake / chocolate / biscuit free month. My son is constantly wanting to bake things and my parents seem happy to eat his treats rather than a proper meal at lunchtime.

Re. the job: you could lose out to anyone, NQT or not. However, if you don't apply there's no chance of getting the job. If you want to go for the job, do but if you're happy where you are, there is a lot to be said for staying.

  • Thanks Watty and Alex.

Righto. By the end of July 2017. I would really like to have moved by then.

Alex I will join you, thanks. Going for dry January and maybe beyond.

The chestnut thoroughbred adored Miss Plops and waved his neck about to get her attention. Very funny.

You said 7 earlier! For 28, definitely go for it! That's an awesome incentive!

Sounds like a great goal. :) I hadn't been on a horse in many, many years until my son started to take in interest in them (all my cousin's fault). :D

OK, I will post something on my diary. :)
    28 extra hours a month!

Per week?! OK, that is a little different and I cannot see why you wouldn't apply. :)
