If that person has been psycho and the management haven't sorted it how do you feel they may deal with other issues? What if they don't leave? What if they leave but the replacement is no better?
Don't get me wrong I went somewhere not knowing what it was like but I did have alternative options that I could have put in place if it didn't work out, I also had a time frame in my head about how long I was prepared to stay even if it was awful etc.
Either way I hope it works out for you0 -
Thanks Darpett.
If they leave I am qualified to do that job (which is not to say I would get it). The management do not deal with problems well but this is not unusual IMHO.
It is complicated by the fact that it is and will be my kids' school.0 -

Why not apply anyway? You could meet the psycho for yourself and make your own judgements.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
I have met her. The summer before last. She was perfectly nice at the time. The place was unable to offer a permanent contract, though I cheekily applied on the basis that that was all I would accept. The job was advertised and appointed as temporary.0

It looks fab.0 -
A half price tree is not to be sneezed at. As for the job, if she was nice when you met her, why not try? It is a big saving and although it could be dodgy with your children at the same school, logistically it would be brilliant. I have found that some people say their boss is a psycho when actually they don't like being reminded to do their jobs, and of course some people are better at doing the reminding than others. But if you work hard, as I am sure you do, she may be absolutely fine.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
