  • You make a good point, Squirrel. If I used all of my 7 commuting hours a week to do extra work I would still be £100 up a month.

I was chatting to the checkout operator in Liddly. Ours is massive and they run it with only 6 staff. He does 5 days ten hour shifts. They must have euper effective recruitment not to end up in chaos.

Fingers crossed for a house move in early 2017.

  • Thanks Cath. If it happened by the summer I would be happy.
  • Yes, good luck with selling the house. You have a lot on your mind at the moment, and I hope you can put it to the back of your mind and enjoy a special few family days x
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
  • We have battened down the hatches (literally, a storm is coming!) until beyond boxing day. I have forgotten chocolate money and brandy but we will manage without.

Can you light port on a christmas pud?!

Good luck with the house sale, I do hope it happens this time. :)

As for the job, I'd stick with the one you have and enjoy. To move would be a risk if you are currently happy with your work, in my opinion.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500
  • Hi everyone. Out the other side and just saw the doc who says I have tendon damage and have to RICE it. Tragic. Forum time!
