Is it just me or does it sound even better when you say it in months!Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0

Indeed - I always try and use months for the "good" stuff (time I won't be paying a mortgage) and years for the "bad" stuff (time I have left to pay off the mortgage!). After this Christmas we should only have 5 more where we have a mortgage payment to make. Actually, scratch that, 4, as our final payment will be made on December 1!0

Had to read that twice Hiddenshadow! First read and I thought you meant you only had 5 more payments in total... as in you will be MF next year
But still that's exciting news. The time will fly.Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -

I don't think so Lucky. Our household income is only about £45k as it is. Once the nursery fees are taken that leaves us with not very much lolTotal Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0

Bit late to join in, but that's a great countdown! I'll aim for 8 more (including this Christmas so we can call it 7)!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

I know it's not very accurate, but I love having a little nose on zoopla at current house prices. Looked today and they recon our little 2 bed house is now worth £275K!!!!
It has no way gone up £75k in value, in the last 5 years. We haven't done anything to it.
If that's true, we would no longer be able to afford to buy our own property. Definitely a motivator to make some serious OP/savings towards a dream home sometime in the future.Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0
