How much does a puncture repair cost?

  • I had a puncture repair done recently at National Tyres & Exhaust.
They refitted the wheel including balancing.
Also did a safety check of the other wheels all for £19.
I actually paid them £20, £1 donation to local kids charity.

I took it to them yesterday. There were two nails in the tyre, and the guy there said the tyre was 5 years old and the tread was split (it did look like it to be fair). So he recommended a new tyre at £62.

    No surprise there then.

    Kwikfit charges £26.50

Theiving Robdogs, a new tyre wouldn't be much more for some cars.

So you paid £19 for something they advertise as free +£10 valve and balancing?

Had mine done by local garage. It cost £10 with wheel off the car, if I'd taken it in still on the car would have been £15
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
