  • I've got to buy a lot of plants for our garden, it'll be one or two a month.. must put some bulbs in before winter though!

Am sure it will look lovely in time for everything being there!

That's a good way to spread the cost. I'll probably buy pansies for in the hanging baskets for the winter and some bulbs too, then Spring will be here before we know it and I can get some more plants then too.

Picked up netting and a few more needed canes to go around the border to keep the dogs off whilst it gets established or I'll have plants brought in as presents  A freebie from a school mum who has an allotment.

Popped to bank as had a cheque arrive to deposit and those £1 coins - after several DDs went out (gas, electric, council tax, life insurance) I've TT'd £24.87 to the holding pot.

P!necone £3 has arrived in Paypal so I'll move the Qmee 11p to it as well then move those to the TT pot - adding up really quickly now - £65.52 extra to the mortgage come capital payment day :j

Got to make the GF cake next for friend as meeting up for lunch tomorrow and taking DS school shopping. Then it's wisdom tooth out first thing Wednesday  Dreading it...salt and painkiller stocks checked :D

  • I am useless with anything teeth related.

Good idea re the pansies, I am really not that green fingered, but am really keen to learn with our garden, so might be tapping you for advice!

I hate anything teeth related - but - had a wisdom tooth out and actually it wasn't too bad - dentist was charming and said he thought it was an honour people trusted him to remove teeth and it always strove to make the "experience" as comfortable as possible to repay the trust. Have stuck with the dentist :)
He is also eye candy which helps :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

My dentist is semi-retired so no looker :rotfl:, but a sports car enthusiast and owner so we get on very well :D He's looked after my teeth for the past 20 years and DS's for all his life. My fears stem from having teeth out for a brace when a molar root was wrapped around the bone...cue sawing through it  A nightmare visit, though the other 3 came out fine, so I'm hoping this one will be quick and easy. Dentist says he isn't losing sleep over it and no more than 30 mins in the chair - here's hoping :) Appointment at 9.30am so I get it over and done with early!

DFOD - Gardening hasn't come naturally, even though my grandfather was a flower show judge back in the day. My parents tended my first garden as I hadn't a clue :o and I've learnt by trial and error, or copying the plants my Mum has :D. I also knock on neighbours doors if they've one I like the look of to ask what it is - least it likes the soil around here. And any plant that is hardy and sturdy should survive my hands (indoor plants are another matter, I can kill a spider plant ). I've got a compost bin now too, so that's a work in progress.

I've got the hang of pots and baskets, so stick with the same ones each year for a decent display :) Just have to remember to water them daily early morning and late evening - water butt has been a godsend.

Why have I not realised this is where I am going wrong, my dentist is nowhere anything you could call eye candy? Now if they were a hottie...

 Hope he's in a good mood tomorrow!

Enjoyed the last pizza for a while having had lunch with a friend, using a 25% off voucher. £15 spent going halves.

Very spendy morning with DS and school stuff - he's outgrown kids sizes in Cl@rks so instead of £42 it was £70 for new school shoes . £20 on school bag and a few £ on stationery. £1.60 parking.

    Financials
    - bank account checked - no TT today, account a round number
    - freepostcodelottery checked - bonus at £6.32
    - Inbox Pounds - at £1.56
    - Another P!necone preliminary survey completed, fingers crossed for yet another £3 one soon :)

Dinner from plan tonight and need to fill car with up fuel. Might be visiting my Great Great Aunt in hospital which is a good hour's drive away, but getting a lift from half way. She's not good at all and has been in hospital a month now :( Waiting on a phone call.

And the jumpers are out, it's chilly here!
