Good afternoon :)Podiatrist appointment went well and now at least I have answers.I have a twisted out of line foot and 1 leg a fare bit shorter than the other  and this all being contributed to by my age;)He has built me up and inset for my shoe(no more sandles for a while) and is hoping this will give me some respite on the pain I have been getting recently:(I came out £75 lighter in my purse but feel a sense of relief knowing I was not imagining this pain;)

Glad you got some answers nanny. :T

Sheet under the duvet worked well. Not sleeping well though, I'd say I'm more dozing through the night and every time I turn over I properly wake up. Hope it sorts itself out soon.

Had some flowers arrive from work today which was lovely. District nurse been. I'm trying to make myself get up regularly and go down to the kitchen. Feels ok,just exhausted after!

Spoke to my friend on the phone for a couple of hours. She restarts her chemo next week which she isn't looking forward to. She has been doing loads of stuff whilst off it though, just making the most of feeling well.

Tweets, hope your visit to mum was ok!

Thanks for all the continued thoughts on here, really means a lot. :A
  • Since when have Asda Home Delivery been using Indian call centres to handle enquiries?

Had a home delivery today, signed quickly for it not to keep the man waiting. Quickly realised he'd not given us 2 tubs of tobacco but he'd left.
Tried phoning - got through to someone who had difficulty getting onto system but said she'd get shop to ring me back. No call back! Got through to another off shore person who said she couldn't authorise such a large refund & they couldn't redeliver. Still waiting for call from store.

Not impressed - we did 'just' pay enough to be refunded but used £40+ e vouchers & should have £40+ e vouchers back too. Worried we won't get refund or owing e vouchers now. We've NEVER had either of 2 previous refunds actually refunded so a £36 refund might be too much for them??

Can't believe we signed for it without checking properly.

Moral of this story is don't be afraid to keep driver waiting - even if he is huffing & puffing!

Birds Eye Crispy Dippers 42 pack, £2 at T, supposedly, according to online. That's the best price I've ever seen. Maybe wait until another day for the APG to catch up?

Sadly, I bought 'loads' of 24 pack at £1.62 the other day as I thought that was a good price:(:(:(. Bloody Toscos(!).

Have you tried compromising and seeing maybe a different doc to your normal one? Asking if they do evening appointments? I had gotten quite frustrated with my GP surgery until recently. It seems that all the regular docs left in a short space of time and are replaced with an ever changing string of new GPs.
I've had quite a few evening appointments lately and the place is dead  I'm also realising that the days of being able to see the same Doc all the time are rapidly leaving us.
I live in a town with a large elderly population (not saying you are elderly  :o ) but quite a few times recently I have listened to arguments with the receptionist because they can't see their 'usual' Doc without a very long wait.
I've rarely seen the same doc twice lately but at the end of the day have not suffered for it other than maybe repeating myself more often than I'd have liked.
    Hi,
im not bothered about which dr I see tbh, its really bad trying to see any.theres a new system at ours.apps get put on for next full week every day at 1 min past midnite, so if you are a nite owl, you would be able to book next day or anytime in the next week.thats where the good news ends, cos it means that cos all apps are booked up for the next week, the best opportunity you have is for an app in 7 or 8 days time iykwim.i foned today at 7am and got 18th at 3pm as next available app, so I took it.
I actually stood at reception desk at 11am yesterday and couldnt book by actually talking to her , but had to fone.she sed thats the new system that the patients wanted.we also have a computer screen for checking in and a fone system to renew repeat prescriptions that get sent to the chemist electronically....so id be scared if I was a receptionist cos I cant see what they are going to be there for soon.one nurse sed that they are always advertising for drs and would pay them megabucks but there are none.
good job my scan results are going to consultants not my drs or id never know whats happening.who would have thought that it would be easier and quicker to see the hospital consultant than your own gp.
btw, while I was waiting in reception queue yesturday, a girl was talking to her for aleast 20 mins about , I need this, need that, missed scan app, missed dr app, need to talk to dr, etc....listening to her iphone all the time she was talking.
when I got to receptionist, I asked the receptionist if the girl had been in pain.
    she asked why.
I said if she isnt now, she will be,...when they have to surgically remove that ifone from her ear.no wonder she wants to see a dr :rotfl:
so off to catch up.see you ron.x
People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with :)
