Good morning all, cloudy one here, hoping to get out to do a bit of weeding but not even had breakfast yet
CJJ - good luck for later, you know you can do it, just remember it is the only job you wantMy son was asked what he wanted to do in the future at an interview, can't remember for what, he said he wanted to join the police  I think he lost it there and then. We nearly shot him!

it will get better and be over soon though. No one would have put you through such a huge procedure if they didn't think it would benefit you greatly in the long term.
You're a young woman with a lot of life in front of you and you'll be grateful for it one day no matter how it feels now. I know that doesn't help you now. But you're suffering now for a better future than the alternative would give you. Stay strong :A and if you get low then don't be afraid to get help. Depression isn't uncommon when life changing procedures are involved. If you need a leg up to get through this, ask for it.
Thank you fc. I think after next week, assuming this lot comes out, all of this drama will seem like a distant memory. The tube has come out twice and has probably been the worst thing, especially when district nurse tried and failed to get it back in. I immediately had visions of being transferred to London and having to have another operation to re do the channel.
Despite all the problems I'm actually quite positive, although it probably doesn't sound it! I know this procedure is the key to getting my life back. I can't wait for the next stage, just getting fed up of this one!!
I was really pleased to read you had a lovely holiday, I'm so pleased. Sorry you've got to go through that nasty test again though.
Cjj, good luck with your interview today.
I think I've probably mentioned my son and his severe dyslexia before. I told him about a meeting today at 7pm to discuss the programme for a group he is a young leader for. The meeting is at the pub.
Turns out he didn't really take on board what I was saying, and got up at 6.30am to get to the meeting he thought was at 7am. He started walking there, and was only when he phoned his friend he was told it was this evening and not this morning. Bless him, hadn't occurred to him that 7am was a very odd time to schedule a meeting for a load of volunteers, nor that the pub wouldn't be open!0 -
good morning all, virtual hugs to everyone suffering and under stress.
we only got as far as Aldi yesterday but they have very tiny plug plants for sale this week - we got 24 autumn pansies in various shades of lilac and purple for £1.99 :j
we had the lovely job of transplanting them into bigger trays last night - yes I know they could go straight in but I don't want the misery of dragging out the summer stuff yet and anyway they are so tiny they would be snail food. So a month in a tray putting a bit of weigh on will do them good.
it will also give me a chance to put even more spring bulbs in“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I'm very upset by an image that was shown on the news tonightsomeone removing the body of a young child refugee from the sea.....in Greece I think? It's so all over the news I can't keep up with what is happening in which country
We can all have our personal crisis going on but I'm finding it increasingly upsetting to watch what these people are going through
I am back to banning myself from watching the news or listening to it on the radio - I know its a head in the sand approach but there is so much suffering and misery in the world it puts me into a downward worry spiral“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Not a great sleep, completely paranoid about tube coming out. Stitches were removed as going gunky, so it is only taped in. In my head I'm thinking if stitches didn't stop it coming out, tape won't. However, it was still in place when checked by district nurse today.
I'm basically doing nothing at all, trying to move as little as possible to make sure it stays in until Monday when I go back to London. Next few days can't go quick enough, have really had enough.
If it isn't all healed and this lot doesn't come out on Monday i will be very upset.
Did they give you a timeframe for your recovery before you had the op LS?0 -

Went to a local Fayre and Square last night and guess what...... They have a Christmas tree up, apparently it's been up for a week, i have got a photo but I don't know how to show it,
this is a very kind and generous offer but I think most of us would prefer not to see a Christmas tree in September :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
