Well, I've done the chutney, and I made the mistake of trying a little bit left in the pan. You are supposed to leave it for a month to mature, but it is so nice I could happily sit down and eat a jar:eek:
Can someone please explain to me how on earth I managed to accidentally produce the makings of a team and mushroom pie while I was waiting for the chutney to cook though :rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Have tomato chutney to do today but that is it, have worked my assets off over this weekend but well worth it, got most things done that I wanted to.
OH has been in Frankfurt over the weekend, getting temperatures in the 30s. He didn't take a raincoat with him though, and the drop off point is a few minutes walk from home so either he will sweet talk the driver or get wet!
Could you post your recipe for the chutney, please? Have quite a few at the allotment. Any other recipes for tomatoes? TIA0 -

Just back from the matalan sale - actually quite good this time, with jeans down to £4. I think jeans were the most expensive thing I bought

Good afternoon back home at last...it was a horrendous:eek:drive back for my DS in pouring rain and not ideal condition for Motorway driving it took 5hours instead of 2 hours and half:( due to a horsebox trailer jackknifing and causing huge tail backs.Have managed to find a carton of Finest soup in the fridge sell by date tomorrow and a bit of hard cheese which I have put on toast...not ideal but will keep the wolf from the door;)
No unpacking or washing ..instead am going to have a catchup and see what you lovely lot have been up to then feet up and watch CBB which I am so enjoying :T:T0 -
