Hence why we now need a wine glitch
(I had issues with mine, thought I was going to run out of phones  )

Wine + Glitch are two of my most favourite words.
  • They will compare £26.95 v £26.22 as Morries will take into account the 25% discount I'm afraid.

Thats a shame, but thanks for checking :)
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

  • Ah Woolies. I had a Saturday job there from 14-18 when I was at school.
I remember working in the electrical part at top of store. A little old lady came in wanting 18" of 3 core electrical wire as her fire needed rewiring. She was very hesitant and was 'almost' sure that 18" would be enough. I suggested she get 2ft, just in case. Her reply was "I don't want to waste electricity" lol. I tried telling her otherwise but she wouldn't be having any. I accidentally gave her a bit over the 18" hoping she wouldn't return the spare inches. Fabric by the yard or 1/8th yd min. Rugs, bedding, toys. We had a HUGE multi-storey warehouse on top of the store that things used to get stored and forgotten about in. My friend & I were sent up there to see if we could find some obviously forgotten about stock from years ago. I swear we found a few boxes of Clarice Cliff Bizzare that was put out at pennies onto the shop floor. I had to wait until I got paid (about 30mins before shop closed) to buy some but sadly it was all snapped up. I didn't realise until quite a bit later what we'd found, I just knew I really liked it.

The biscuits and sweets - you couldn't serve yourself around here. Sometimes I swear it would take some people 15mins to decide how many of each biscuit they wanted. Then you used to get the really old hard up pensioners in for 'broken biscuits' which were REALLY cheap. I'd fall for it every time when they asked if we had any broken bourbons - I'd always magically find some. I was SO clumsy. lol

I probably owe Woolies some money and also the Co-op as I always worked there during all the school holidays. It was hard for me to give an obviously impoverished pensioner just 1 slice of bacon etc. I'd usually put a mis-cut in for them too.

I remember the huge cubes of butter that we used to cut and pat into 1lb squares into grease-proof paper. Also the cheese that we had to cut with wire, being careful not to slice your fingers off at same time. Bacon that was sliced ourselves, along with hams etc. etc.

    Memories! :)

You can often find long forgotten sweets in Home bargains. Hubby has even found some American sweets there that are no longer made.

    Good morning all :)

Anyone that ordered gas from http://gasbottle.net/products/19kg-propane-gas-cylinder

I had an email from the MD of Gas deal.co.UK after cancelling my order from them. The reason I gave was that gas bottle.net were cheaper.

The MD informed me that gas bottle.net was a bogus company and has since been removed from the net. I have contacted my credit card and suggest that anyone who ordered do the same.
