Not sure if this link will work but if you sign up to YHA secret deals then they send you email updates every so often, the latest one has a code for 25% off
worth having a look if you are thinking of a few days away before the kids go back
To claim your discount simply select a hostel from the list below, there are 5 listed - book between 13th August and 17th August 2015, for stays between 17th August and 5th September 2015, and enter the promotional code below at the checkout
http://yhainfo.org.uk/1N6K-3LJYN-3CE1L2VC93/cr.aspx
also if you are members each adult gets £3 off per night so for instance that's another £12 for a 2 night stay on top of the 25%
most hostels now have private family rooms now often with double beds. You can also book meals - breakfasts and evening meals in advance - obviously you can still just use the members kitchens and DIY - we did quite a few hostels when the kids were smaller - much easier to cope with varied food likes and dislikes and so much cheaper than hotels and eating out
just done a test booking Wasdale Hall and 4 beds start from £49 a night and 5 beds with a double bed are £59 a night so I found 2 nights in early September which worked out after the 25% off and after the members discount at £76.50 :T
ravenstor (not far from Eyam, the plague village) - rooms for 2 people start at £39 a night and 2 nights after the discount came in at £52.50
wasdale hall - looks fabulous but its a 3 hour drive from us - or 4 if you include the inevitable stop off at Ikea for meatballs- so it would have to be 2 nights.

GREAT
Chicken Tikka sandwiches for lunch ...
I am getting the hint from Mrs Anon that perhaps we have enough chicken items in the freezer for now.

Afternoon all
Good to see you popping in BB, hope you're well :A
(((Hugs))) to Snap.
Contemplating leaving the house today. Need to get a couple of bits for DD starting school next week and figure it'll be easier to do while she's not here...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Good afternoon everyone.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and not such a washout as expected.
I am off to Wales later this evening, with friends and family, as it is my "40th" birthday tomorrow.
One more week at work then off on holidays to Fuerteventura, I cant wait.0 -

Bloomin rain, I have piles in my lounge that I sorted of DDs before she went didn't think worth taking it all upstairs to bring it down again.
Been slowly working my way through....
Things like some dresses that had gone a bit mouldy one side (at uni) and her red fur throw that lots of us got RTC on Ts direct. Has anyone washed theirs yet? Do they come up as nice and soft as they are before washing, grateful for any recommendations on temp/spin.
Have just washed her fleece twosie as I can just chuck that over the clothes horse indoors. Unfortunately it doesn't fold up very small so not sure where I am going to stuff it until winter.
DD3's twosie lives on top bunk at the moment but we are taking down DD2's bed as it is a high sleeper not suitable really for a 22 year old and splitting the bunks into the 2 bedrooms so I will no longer have either the high sleeper for storage was keeping a king size duvet up there. And the top bunk was used for towels at one point but have had the spare duvet on there since DD2 been back. No room in the airing cupboard as you all have seen. :rotfl:
Snap I feel for you :heart2:, been told exactly the same by Mr TS, he is really tearing his hair out, well what is left of itwith the disorganisation at the moment.
On the other hand I am rather pleased with myself that I am actually coping with the disorganisation at all. My OCD usually takes over but I am plodding from one thing to the next. Mr TS took car boot full to his works charity shop today of all the decent stuff DD2 no longer wanted, some things he was not happy still had labels attached and have never been worn. I have the not so good things in my boot for the clothing/shoe bank, not sure if every council have these but apparently it all gets sorted and recycled if too worn.
I do feel like I am winning the game of tetris, and I didn't go out looking for more towels yesterday Nanny. :A0 -

Good morning all:D
Just had the hugest thunderstorm. Black skies, virtually constant thunder and lightning, and a positive deluge. My back garden was awash and the gutters were unable to cope, waterfalls of water pouring off the roof. Ironically no loss of electricity until the storm had passed:p
Had a lovely afternoon with VT yesterday. My wardrobe was thoroughly inspected, and the cruise clothing I had earmarked was approved. Just need a pair of black formal trousers.
We stopped in A on her way home and found some wombles for the first time in ages. They were a challenge to get. Picture two ladies on their hands and knees, bottoms in the air, grovelling about under the line of trollies in the corner of the car park, too thoroughly engrossed in the job in hand to notice or care if anyone was watching, and you'll get the idea.:rotfl:
We managed to hit whoopsie time and got some bargains. I paid for nearly all my shopping with apgs I'd been saving. The only bit left to pay was £2.40, paid with the car park ticket refund.:D
Sorry to hear of poorly peeps, hugs to them. Glad to hear ladyshopper is progressing well. Sad to hear of various bereavements.
Got to go as I'm being kneaded and purred at by a relieved cat that has come out from behind the sofa and wants some reassuring cuddles.:rotfl:
