Experian report shows false linked address

I have an address on my report which I have never lived at, I have been in touch with equifax and I think it's also on my experian report, equifax say they can't remove it at the moment because of system limitations, not sure if I have asked experian or not.

Thank you Neil, Will Capquest have to produce proof of debt if they want the record to remain ?

If I get M&S to review my application in light of the dispute notice, will this count as another credit file search ?

Hi Ac427, Capquest will need to confirm that the information is correct, if we don't hear from them within 15 days we chase them for a response and after 28 days we will supress the information from your report until a reply is received.

As the information belongs to the company, and they have already agreed to supply accurate information they won't need to supply proof to ourselves.

If you are not happy with their response then the matter can be taken to the Office of the Information Commissioner who would be able to make a ruling as to whether it should be recorded or not.

Should M&S decide to reconsider the application then it is likely that they would want to do another search, although this would depend on their policy.
