EE exploding power bars recalled

palmface for EE.
Sometimes it's best to not bother, first you run out of stock and get a s***storm on social media, next you supply products that dont pass EU safety checks.
I bet they wish they didnt bother now.0 -
I haven't checked mine yet but it's a shame you cant use the vouchers for top-ups. I have just got two Summer Sims with free 100GB data (yes Gigabytes!) for two months and they both need a £10 top-up to activate. If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0

Please can someone point me in the direction of what can be bought with the £20 voucher given for the recall?
Thanks0 -
I have never swapped it. A mobile addict could have done all sorts of nasty things with a the Power Bar. It could have been used like a rolling pin to crush cocaine, and I could get arrested by drug sniffing police dogs.0

Does anyone have any experience yet with their return and voucher issue?
I returned mine. They said I'd get a text within 72 hours which includes a voucher for the £20, but, I had to just trust them on that. They wouldn't give me any receipt or anything to confirm I had handed it back in.
Thankfully, I did get a text later which said "Thanks for returning your EE Power Bar. We will be in touch as soon as we have concluded our testing with further details", so I have evidence of the return at least... but I'm still just 'crossing fingers' for the £20 voucher code.
Would be nice to hear if others had received them?

They give you the voucher in store cut from a cheap photocopied sheet ....... the voucher number to enter into the checkout is [STRIKE]44/drop the 0/rest of[/STRIKE] your phone number in the form 07777123456. Valid 30 days from the date of issue. We got the text while we were still standing at the desk.
edit ..... they wrote it wrongly on the voucher0 -
[STRIKE]Has anyone actually managed to use a code - have tried 2 and comes up code not found - if it is a power bar voucher ensure you have waited 24 hours. We were given the codes on Thursday so it looks like something else EE have !!!!ed up as per normal.[/STRIKE]
Scrub that, see edit to post above.0 -
I took 3 power bars back to EE in Macclesfield on Thursday. The guy told me I'd have a text with the voucher code through within 24 hours, didn't give me a receipt or anything. I got a text thanking me for returning a power bar and saying they'd be in touch after testing.
48 hours later and no voucher code, EE customer service deny all knowledge and say I should have been given a paper voucher.
Grrrrrr this is the second time I've had words with them today, the first was over the non appearance of a £95 voucher which was part of a deal I signed up for.
