Can I cancel?

Hi,

I've been on Sky Unlimited for about 3 years, the last 2 of which just on a rolling month-by-month basis. I'm moving house in 2 weeks time, and called them to arrange the move and in the process agreed to a new 12 month contract for Sky Fibre (Fibre was not available at my current address).

However, I've recently been dogged by broadband issues and quite unhappy with Sky (it's reached the point where they've said there's nothing they can do to fix my internet and I basically just have to live without until I move. No engineer can be sent out because there's already and engineer booked for my house move). Because of all this i'd like to cancel my contract for Fibre and just go with Virgin. Can I do this? Does a cooling off period apply in this instance? I'm unsure mainly because I was already a Sky customer.

If you signed a "new 12 month contract" then you should have 14 days cooling off period.

I'd give sky a ring and clarify.

Not sure about the 14 days on an upgraded contract/ house move .
But key is do VM supply the new house .

VM do supply the new house. I'll definitely be giving Sky a call, it'd just be handy to have some idea where I stand before grappling with their call centre bots.
