No one has been judgemental - they are just suggesting ways that might help you move forward and get some balance in your life.0 -
OP.... you're very focused on what youn want ... and thats a good thing ....
but you have to temper it with what is possible and what respomnsibilities you have ....
you have to make concessions or you will get nowhere0 -
If by concessions you mean staying in an area I hate with them still controlling me then, as I feared when starting this thread, my situation is too messed up for people to make suggestions that are feasible, and my responsibilities are to my dogs, no one else0

Have you rang letting agents in your preferred area to see what's available with dogs. How will you furnish your new place. Do you need fully furnished. Who will pay your deposit and security bond.0 -

It's not that your situation is too messed up, but that you need to be realistic in what you can achieve all at once. Have you thought about setting longer term options - finding work, saving a deposit, further study etc? Then you can break these down into more achievable slices.
The problem with being unrealistic in your short term aims is that you set yourself up to fail.0 -
OP
I have read through most of the thread and I think everyone accepts you don't want to live with your parents anymore - and want some distance from them so they are no longer part if your life.
You are an adult - that is natural, particularly if relations are strained.
If you don't mind me saying - your reactions are a little defensive. I really think you need to speak to a councillor or trusted friend to work through your issues. Your appearance should not and will not be an issue in getting work. But you need to hear that from someone you believe.
I am sure there is wonderful life waiting for you out there - you just need a little help to find the confidence to grab it. Please please please talk to someone
Good luck0 -

Yes I am defensive but, if you knew more, you'd understand why. I have no friends in this "prison" except my two forever friends - dogs don't judge. And, despite the DDA etc, my appearance will be a factor (H&S risk etc) but no-one will admit that; given that at my age I have no job hx, employer refs etc, they can use that as the reason instead.0
