Evening all
Thank you to Bossy for last week's lists (when I managed to do a fair amount of flying) and Natty for starting us off this week (when I doubt that I shall have much time for flying).
We had a great time with DGS3 on Friday/Saturday. Today I have spent the afternoon outside, tidied round and deadheaded in both front and back garden, then planted out some of the things in pots. The remainder are in buckets, getting a nice drink, ready for their turn.
Tomorrow DD arrives for one night with DGS1+2, and DS1 and his family are coming round for tea. Also popping in during the afternoon to see the garden railway in action will be two small boys from Chernobyl who are staying with a couple we know from church. It will be interesting to see how DGS1+2 cope with the language barrier! On Friday we are taking the two young visitors for a ride on the big steam railway with their hosts.
Two highlights today:
- eating our own home-grown courgette
- standing on the lawn just a couple of feet away from the bird feeding station, with the flock of long-tailed t!ts flying down and feeding off the fat blocks with no fear of me
Tomorrow morning I must
- send one email
- make up the bed for DGS2
- fill and ice a cake for tea
- make lasagne for 10 people
- make a pudding of some sort
- get milk: we've almost run out
- try to plant the remaining plants before DD arrives at lunchtime
- if the weather forecast is OK, put up the tent for the children to play in
- enjoy the two-thirds family get-together. (DD is visiting DS2 on Tuesday.)
Not a bad list to look forward to
(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, especially to MsGnomey, MrsPepperpot, CY, Natty and anyone who doesn't feel like work or sticking to a diet x0 -

Need to check bank account, OH was scammed this week for £500, but spotted it, rang his bank, who were very good, and put the money back, cancelled his card, and sending him a new card.
Moral keep checking those bank accounts, as he was of the attitude, 'It will never happen to me'
