Site running slow?

Exactly the same here. Sometimes clicking again will get me through on the 2nd attempt but sometimes it just doesn't load and I give up.

The problem is still happening. I'm getting on to the forums for around 30 seconds, then they go down for probably about 10 minutes. Is it me, or has this been happening quite frequently over the last few weeks? It's been like it all over the weekend, and is sooooooo frustrating. I am loyal to MSE, but I admit, I'm starting to consider using an alternative site.

Clearing cookies seems to have either resolved it, or at least made a difference. It's been fine since I cleared my cookies around ten minutes ago.

on the other hand, I have not cleared cookies and it has been better for the last 10 minutes.

There you go, I cured it for the entire site I did test it just before I cleared cookies to make sure I wasn't trying to fix something that was already fixed - and it went down then. But it's also very possible that it is a timing quincidence Who cares, if it's sorted then we can all celebrate - till the next time anyways.

Still very very slow despite clearing cookies. Noticed it yesterday too but just thought it was my internet connection

This time it's "Page cannot be displayed" and, when I get on, and go to post even a short, quickly written post (only a sentence or two), I'm getting a "Your request timed out. Please retry the request." message, and have to move back, and resend the post.
