I've used Norton for years, never experienced any problems. However when my current subscription is up in 102 days I plan to try something else.0

You said 360 Norton free here You say you have not paid for security for years
What are you using at the moment.
I use 360 Total Security - NOT Norton 360. They are different.

Qihoo have a checkered past. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qihoo for details of why they have been removed AV tests comparisons before.
There has also been rumours that they copied users data back to a server. http://www.ibtimes.com/privacy-issues-chinas-qihoo-360-technology-which-provides-free-antivirus-software-are-becoming-more.
Finally they use a freeium model and show non paying users adverts, and malware in adverts are very common at the moment.
I'm not saying that the software in its current form is not bad, only that there have been issues of trustworthiness in the past. There are many more free A/V offerings from companies that do not appear to have such a checkered history.0 -
Re GJChester's post above (and others): I'm with them all w.r.t using a -known and currently well-reviewed AV programme/suite, and not some "no-name" from "somewhere" which might just be loaded with all the things you are trying to avoid - that would be penny-wise, pound foolish in the extreme.0

Thanks for the suggestion to buy the product in sale to use when current subscription ends
