Yes Prowla. The cyclist should obviously get out of the cars way?
I mean it was far more important that the car got past to sit at the junction longer.
What would it have cost the car to wait and pass at the wider road/junction?
    Thanks for agreeing.

Think I'll even up the anti car !!!!!!!! going on in this thread.

Firstly, while the driver is being overly aggressive and should be ashamed of his actions, the cyclist is acting a right !!!!. He's following him (quite evidently with the intention of winding him up), he's mocking him, laughing at him, winding him up etc. I actually agree when the driver says "why don't you get a life", I actually agree with him.

Secondly, the cyclist is riding surprisingly central down the road. Why? I appreciate the rules state that a cyclist can move into the centre when turning etc, but in this video, he appears to have no interest other than to be selfish. He passes a pedestrian very closely at 37 seconds as well.

Thirdly, he finishes the video by riding down a pavement, isn't that illegal?

I love it when the mighty get on their high horses. Cyclists are no better than angry drivers at times.

The cyclist has done nothing wrong. Custardy said so.

Well of course. I assume the cyclist didn't cut his footage that was provided to the police either. ;)

I know the current modus operandi of this country is, cyclists good, drivers bad, but really, I've had enough of that.

If you seen the other videos, or read the comments here about them he just approaches motorists most of the time to trying to just give them a heads up they were too close etc and most motorists respond in a reasonable way.

The way this video plays out is motorist passes him like a ****, cyclist pulls the motorist up for doing so, then motorist goes into roid rage mode and things escalate from there. If the motorist hadn't passed so close and hadn't became so aggresive things wouldn't have went the way they did. Sure, the cyclist didn't need to approach the motorist but when you're out cycling and get a near passive aggressive pass from someone who can't be bothered to pass safely the old adrenaline kicks in now and then and you want to tell them that it's not an acceptable thing to do. Especially as most cyclist deaths on the road are caused by motorists who drive into them.

Most of the time i give them the old coffee beans gesture if they pass too close but for a quiet and easier life i haven't went as far as pulled up beside them for a chat yet.

That's probably due to the motorists acting like an idiot and saying ridiculous things liike "are you a tank, lucky i never ran you over etc"

Yes, but i imagine the police deemed it reasonable to escape someone being physically aggressive who's threatening to steal your stuff.

I doubt the footage would have been cut as any sign of that happening the police usually request the full clip and refused to provide it has resulted with computer equipment being confiscated in the past. Before the police decide to prosecute they'll need to see the whole clip. They're not idiots.
The cyclist didn't break any laws up to the point they were threatened either so why wouldn't they want to show them it all?

There are a lot more motorists than cyclists on the road these days. Ask some motorists what they think of cyclists and i think you'll find it's the other way around with cyclists vs motorists on opinion polls.
