Thanks for starting us off for another month Pickle. :)

I'm in again for August although I still don't feel as though I am making much progress with my stash. :( I am cobbling together a Project Pan list with a few items I am currently using and will add a couple of small bits so at least I might actually have a chance of finishing my list this month!

I am currently sporting Above The Curve's Kahuna on my toenails but my feet are still looking a little worse for wear after my 10 mile charity walk three weeks ago. I recently treated myself to a pink Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi so I really must start pampering my feet more.
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

Some ins and UUs for me to start the month:

    Ins:
    - 2 packs of Footner feet peel things (on offer from Groupon for £7!)
    - 2 packs of cotton pads (offer on superdrug, needed one pack)
    - new footfile for the shower

    UUs
    - 1 pack Footner thing (will see what happens in a week or so!)
    - 1 pack cotton pads (replaced as above)

    And some mixing:
    - mixed a Clinique highlighting lotion (broken pump) with a Superdrug Eye BB thing in a tin with some dark (slightly gold) foundation to make a kind of foundation - as I wasn't using either of the first two. The colour is great, I'll see how well it works over the next few days!

I'm determined to get my feet into shape - will book into see a chiropodist too once I've done everything I can at home first :)

    Two UUs

One from the PP list - Tresemme Liquid Gold Perfecting Treatment - won in a competition, but WMB, I think it did make my hair a bit smoother and shinier

La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Anti-Shine Dry Touch SPF50 - 3ml sample - WNB, wasn't as impressed with this as others in the range. Weird texture, and made my face seem ghostly ... or more ghostly than usual!

    Hi all.

    I have some uu's

Aromatherapy Associates Relax Light Bath Oil 7.5ml - WBA but only on a great offer.

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel 15ml - WNBA, only one more tube of this to go from the never ending stash of them.

Imperial Leather Foamburst Vanilla & Cherry Blossom - WBA.

Charles Worthington Intense Rescue Moisture Seal Melting Balm 100ml - WNBA, this is expensive coconut oil with some other bits added in but it isn't as good as regular coconut oil. It has grainy bits in which don't melt and stick in my hair.

Do update us on how you get on with the footner things. I've been tempted to try them, though was thinking of doing it in the winter as if they really work as described it looked like I would want to hide my feet in boots or trainers whilst they were peeling. I suspect most people's experience isn't quite so dramatic though.

Indiepanda I can't recommend a chiropodist appt highly enough. The one I went to used a scalpel to remove any hard skin then filed smooth afterwards. I do look after my feet and have one of those battery file roller things, I said to him I did try to remover the hard skin he was lovely and said but it's far easier for someone else to do it as they are approaching your foot from a different angle. I've found now I've been its much easier to maintain his good work. My appt cost £20

    What are footner things?

That sounds like you've found a great chiropodist. I have been a few times in London, it's cost more like £40 and I don't recall them filing smooth afterwards either. I do use a micro pedi from time to time but I should get into a proper routine - regular chiropodist and then maintenance with the micro pedi.

Footner things are booties with an exfoliating acid you put your feet in and leave for a while and then I think wash off and over the next week or so your feet shed the skin and leave soft skin underneath - that's the theory anyway, not tried.
  • 1 out, I've classed it as a TA, but I returned it to superdrug as it has a 100% happiness guarantee, and I was not 100% happy due to the spots it caused! Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating serum is gone!
    No more goo hoarding!

I’ll definitely update you all! I’m not so worried about the timing/peeling – I’m not really wearing sandals at the minute, it’s all closed shoes or boots to work, and out and about (up north, mostly rain :)). And it should only be a few days at most which I’m sure I can live with for better feet afterwards!

Anyway, first impressions are they are very simple to use, but no obvious change yet.

indiepanda, I’ve always heard great and transformative things about chiropodists! Like anything you need to find a good person though I guess. I want one to focus mostly on my toes though (battered from years around horses, playing Gaelic football, kick-boxing, and now cramming into ski boots) so would like to do as much as I can about the rest of my feet first :)
  • I have one GA to a friend for her birthday:

TBS Vanilla Brulee Body Butter 200ml.

I also got her some other bits from Superdrug including face masks on 3 for 2. I saw one that contained willow bark which is in my HG cleanser so I picked that up for me to see what it's like:

Superdrug Dead Sea Purifying Face Mask.
