My PP for July was as below - so pretty good progress made, especially as I managed to UU a few not on this list in addition:
[STRIKE]- This works perfect heels rescue balm [/STRIKE]
- Crabtree and Evelyn Summer Hill hand therapy
[STRIKE]- Faith in Nature Coconut shower gel
- Body Shop Coconut Shimmer body butter
- Antipodes Avocado Night Cream
- Aurelia Cell repair night oil
- Clarins Eye Contour balm[/STRIKE]
- Antipodes Ananda Gentle toner
[STRIKE]- Ren V-Cense day cream
- Lancome Bi-Facial eye make up remover
- Dove Go Fresh pomegranate deodorant (mini)[/STRIKE]
I've got familiar enough with my stash over the last month to know I do not need anything in August except razor blades which I can stick in my supermarket shop, so the intention is to
a) Keep away from shops that are a source of temptation. That really means Whole Foods, Neal's Yard, Bare Minerals, Liz Earle, L'Occitane, all departments stores and my local beauty shop.
b) continue to cut down on e temptation
- put computer away instead of leaving downstairs,
- add more beauty sites to my blocked list (which I get a maximum of 30 minutes per day on in total - and I include facebook and most news sites on that list).
- move emails from beauty sites into my spam folder. I haven't done this before in case I ordered from them - but I don't need to order anything for ages and if in a year's time I do need to, I can just check my spam for the order confirmation.
c) Continue building up my routine of actually using the products. I have been a lot better since I rejoined this thread at doing a pre-bed face routine which I usually only managed when I wore make up - and that's not often. I have also put make up on a bit more and got footcream on more regularly too.
d) Continue searching through stash for part used items and when I next finish something up, move onto a part used item rather than opening something new as the part used one will go off sooner. Just before I started re-posting I had to TA a few items that had gone off.
e) TA or GA anything that really doesn't work for me. Last month I TA a bottle of shampoo that was 1/3 full which had always left my hair tangled and didn't help my scalp although it was meant for dry scalps. Looking back I can't believe I persisted for that long with it. Do I really think punishing myself for mistakes is healthy?? That one wasn't even a frivolous spend, my scalp was giving me hell and I thought it would help.
f) sort out travel wash bag for upcoming trips away (got three within the next 6 weeks) and make sure I have no excuse to buy sample sizes at Boots when I fly for the last of the three (I often buy something last minute due to disorganisation).
PP for this month
- Crabtree and Evelyn Summer Hill hand therapy
- Antipodes Ananda Gentle toner
- Ren Hydracalm serum
- Ren Hydracalm day cream (generous sample size)
- Aurelia face scrub
- Another tube of this works perfect heels rescue balm
- Clarins Multi-Active night cream (generous sample size)
- Korres Jasmine Body Wash
- Korres Jamine Body Lotion
- Mio Boob Tube (bust firmer)
- Mio The Activist (firming body oil)
- Mio Workout Wonder (invigorating muscle gel)
- No7 face scrub (sample size)
There are other products I expect to use but are full enough I won't UU during the month.
Good luck with your plans for this month everyone.
Some great plans there indie panda especially getting your travel items sorted as you have a few trips lined up. I shopped my stash yesterday for travel items for Emma's trip on Friday and am pleased that I had C&P, cloths, IBST, shampoo and conditioner already in there for her. We did go shopping at Cheshire Oaks yesterday and was pleased by the savings in TBS. When you bought 4 items you got 40% off so got Emma a Seaweed day cream which she uses and is nearly out of, Seaweed serum as she says she needs a richer cream at night and this was recommended for her oily Tzone, Honeymania shower gel as she is getting low on these and body scrub which she again is nearly out of. When the total after discount is divided by 4 I got each item for £6.30.
Smelt the dark poppy fragrance in there and it is lovely but did not succumb.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Sorry Pickle meant to thank you earlier for the new thread.
Was very good at Cheshire Oaks yesterday and did not buy anything from Molton Brown, L'Occitane (though MRMS got some aftershave balm), TBS (for me), Yankee Candle or The Cosmetic Compay. Did nearly succumb in YC and TCCS as the new YC a fragrances smelt lovely - I regretted stopping that AD at that point - and in TCCS they had the Smashbox Double Exposure palette at a really good price. I think what really put me off there was that the display palette looked like it had really been mailed! Did buy a Kipling bag for my hols which I had gone there specifically to buy. Very pleased with that purchase as it was an exclusive one so looks really different. Was on sale too.
So back to the challenge. My PP list:-
Tresemme shampoo
Tresemme conditioner
Elemis lime blossom balancing cleanser. Will need to repurchase this when it has gone
LE 200ml C&P
Garnier Micellar water. Will probably purchase another soon as it's been on offer for £1 at Boots and Emma really likes this.
Aussie no rush shower gel
Philosophy pure grace shower gel
LE Brightening mask
Cutex nail polish remover. Will need to repurchase this when it has gone.
On top of these I still have 3 items from last PP to UU being
Champneys hand lotion
Molton Brown hand lotion
Umbero Gianini dry shampoo
I also still have the Cargo blush and Bobbi Brown eyeshadow on the go from my finish 4 by 4 July challenge and on top of this have two mascaras that I want to UU.
So plenty to go at.
Do have a couple of INs I want to get today which are travel pots. I want to depot my LE Skin Repair as the tube was not letting much product out. I've cut it open but it's too full to leave that way. Also want a spare spritzer bottle for the Micellar water. Am going to use it to clean my make up brushes.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. VALM - well done on your restraint at Cheshire Oaks. Me and Yankee Candle are finished - I find the scent descriptions sound lovely, the packaging is great and the smell in the jar is good but when lit the throw is so hit and miss with more miss than anything.
I have a uu
Clinique Custom Repair Serum 10ml - this lasted ages and I did see a visible improvement, I have some point booster vouchers for Boots and may use one to purchase this (450 points for £45+ spend) but am still thinking about it due to the cost.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

2 UUs this morning:
Avon Planet Spa Lemongrass Body Scrub: Thought there was some in the tube still. This is pleasant but very gentle. I bought it from a charity shop and paid only £2 so for the price it is good but I WNBA unless find a bargain.
Sanctuary Spa Detox Hair Exfoliant: A clarifying scalp and hair treatment and comes in 20 ml packs. It is like a scrub, has a grainy texture. I found it last night when tidying some toiletries and instead of keeping it unopened, decided to use it. It feels good at the moment and have couple of others in stash.
OH UU'ed an Eucerine shampoo sample as well.ally.0 -
1 In - Love & Toast hand cream. Bought from an Oxfam shop as I never heard of it before and it looked interesting (honey and coconut cream).ally.0

Have a lovely holiday shandyclover. I know what you mean about student attitude. My daughter is at college and has a part time job. Was ironing her waistcoat the other day and she warned me to be careful with it as it costs money! I asked her if she thought all the clothes she's been given over the years have been obtained freely?!
I have an iron that irons at optimum temperature so burning it wouldn't have been an issue for me (it's one I got from Amazon to review, needless to say). Brilliant invention, this one is a steam generator iron but you can also get standard steam irons with this feature.
Please forgive me if this sounds out of turn, but why were you ironing her waistcoat in the first place Val? I can perhaps understand it if it was term-time and she had a lot on, but it's the holidays!
Okay it's none of my business but may I gently suggest that it's time for DD to do her ironing for herself? You've got plenty on..
While we're on about Amazon, a Chinese manufacturer offered me a trial of an electronic facial spray - I've not seen anything like it before. I'm about to give it a go and will put up my review - and a link to it later on, if anyone is interested.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Pickle, thank you for the new thread, I am in for another month please. I didn't manage to write a PP list for July, but did keep a group of items together that I was targeting, so I will pop back to July thread to list them and update, hopefully will get a list going for August soon.
I have ordered the All Boxed Up 5 item Time Bomb box, it was an amazing price and I have wanted to try the range for ages, but had been virtuous and not ordered anything, but failed when I saw this offer, had an e-mail to say that the take up has been greater than expected and new supplies awaited, so may get some UU's before it arrives if I am lucky:D
I have to work hard to keep the sensitive areas on my face under control, but now have some HG products that do not sting or make if flare and in fact calm things down when it does happen. I then use my normal skin care on the majority of my face, trying to avoid the sore areas, it is a bit of a fiddle, but seems to be working well atm, skin looks great and in fact had a compliment from my local Clarins SA this week, so all the effort and expense seems to be worth it, also means that I am not having to GA/TA hundreds of pounds worth of lovely lotions and potions:D
I hope that everyone has been having a great Sunday, I have been working my way through a list of chores as long as my arm, but seems a lot will be carried over until tomorrow. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Another UU a tub of champneys body butter, feels lovely and absorbs well, but I've still got lots of butters so don't need to buy any.

thanks for the new thread Pickle!
PP list for August:
Elemis - mini toner
Liz Earle - travel size C&P
Urban Decay - eyeliner in baked, this was repurposed as an eyeshadow to get it used!
Laura Mercier - travel size primer
Origins - mini hand cream
Clarins - travel sized hydrating serum
elemis - mini rose exfoliator
Clinique - travel sized serum
Olivia - body butter
elemis - travel sized shower gel
Make Up For Ever - mini powder
im targeting the ridiculous amount of travel sizes i seem to have amassed at the moment, i seem to have just collected them from sets and GWPs! last year for christmas i gave my mum and mother in law to be a beauty box made up of lots of minis and I'm thinking of doing the same again. I've got multiples of some things so at least they can have the same.
UU already-
Anastasia brow gel - HG and got another mini in the stash to use. this does properly set brows to they don't budge!
GA - L'Occitaine mini hand cream and soap and St Tropez self tan shower gel to my mum - i've got so much in the stash that its unlikely ill use so id rather someone else did!
had a NPI earlier with the new Mac Look in a Box eyeliner set. it has my HG eyeliners and mascara in a set but reminded myself that they may be HG but i have 19 mascaras and 23 black eyeliners so i definitely do not need it!!!!0 -
