    Another couple of UU:-

    - Soft and Gentle Orange blossom and grapefruit deodorant. WMBA, it does the job but I am not sure it's my favourite of their perfumes. The rose one is really nice. I have been trying to move to natural products, but deodorant is one I struggle with as there are no natural antiperspirants and on hot days I struggle with sweating!

    - Travel size Champneys Skin Comforting Shower Cream. WNBA - there are plenty of nice natural shower gels.
  • Morning ladies,

I've had a bit of a nightmare these last few days as I had an allergic reaction to something which ended up in a long ol' trip to the hospital. Just about on the mend now but I'm feeling quite pleased that I have resisted the urge to make myself feel better by buying more toiletries.

I can finally report on some UUs from the last week or so now:

Superdrug Micellar Cleansing Wipes: These were fine but nothing special. WMBA at the right price.

Superdrug Tea Tree Cleansing Pads: I liked how exfoliating these were but I think they had the opposite effect in getting rid of spots, probably due to me opening them ages ago and only just getting round to finishing them. WMBA.

Witch Blemish Stick 10ml: HG - WDBA.

TBS Shea Body Mist 100ml: Grew so sick of this scent that I needed up using it as a room spray to try and get rid of it quicker. WNBA.

Oh no, hope you're okay Deleted_User, have you managed to work out what it was?

I have a few UUs to report and 1 TA.

    UU
Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic (sample size) - I love this stuff, it makes my skin feel so clean, I use it with the rest of the set and it's lovely. My boss and his wife got me the set for my birthday so I already have the replacement.
Benefit Rockateur Powder - lovely colour, stays on for ages, just not a fan of the ingredients!

    TA
An old Rimmel foundation. Found it in the bottom of the box and couldn't tell you when I bought it. It's a shame because it's almost full but I'm trying my best to look after my skin at the moment because of my wedding next year - I don't want anything developing!

I bought a Lush face mask on the weekend (I shall look up the name when I get home) in the hope that it'll help get rid of the spot I've had on my cheek for about 3 months, it seems to be drying up but it's just taking so long! I've never had problems like this before which is why I'm in a panic about anything new before the wedding!

  • another UU - Arran Aromatics just grapefruit body cream. Was lovely, would consider buying again.

I am so enjoying using up my smellies that I found myself thinking of my upcoming holiday and being sad that I wouldn't be able to use my toner for 14 nights 'that's going to put me right back on my pp' I thought! Ridiculuous isn't it?

Anyway, I needed a night cream and a body scrub and some bio oil and Feel Un*que had a sale and there was an extra 10% and quidco soooo...

I am adding a new stage to my routine now, as I am pregnant, and I'm really keen to avoid stretch marks, so slapping on lots of bio oil, and I've got a Weleda one to try, and a Clarins one that various bloggers seem to rate. Oh dear, I seem to have found another category to hoard. If anyone has any stretch mark avoidance tips I'd love to hear them.

Congratulations on the pregnancy! Not sure if it's new or not but I haven't read it before!

Can't you decant the toner into a smaller bottle that is under 100ml? I'm presuming that you can't take it because you're flying and it's a larger bottle than that?

    Congratulations Plumpudding, I don't think I knew either :)

Rdone - emma-6584 posted on thread actually and I got the idea from there :) Also looked up a bit on internet. I'm not great with this sort of stuff so first two attempts were a bit messy but it is lipstick anyway so gets sticky. Easy to clean up though.

I have used my oil burner. Filled the top with water, chopped lipsticks into the plastic pot, put the pot on top of the burner. Candle make the water boil and it did melt the lipsticks. It is slow but i found it convenient. Some used non-sticky pans and also palettes to crate their own lipstick set :) HTH

  • Thank you asajj and rdone.
asajj, have you ever tried making a cheek tint from your lipsticks? I have experimented with repurposing some unmelted lipstick on my cheeks (I mean, I blend it in, I don't just stick lumps of lipstick on my cheeks), but it looks a bit greasy (and a little bit um, clowny if the colour isn't right), just wondered if it's different if melted down first.

rdone- yes I will be flying and I lack a suitable container for it. Unless I can finish my little molton brown before we go - or I could put that in something else. Hmm, will do some juggling. BUT I have had a good time digging out things that I know I would only use on holiday, such as hair masks and little travel sizes I have been saving. So it will make in roads into those.
I think this panic has come from looking at my stash and worrying that I will never use it all up even if I have a bath every day until I'm 100, so I have to take every chance to use things.

I haven't tried it but i think it needs to be a bit more "runny" to blend better - I will try to see how it works but my skin is dry so i might mix it with some cream first!
