    2 more UUs:-

Sachet of L'occitane Refreshing shampoo. This was gorgeous. Made my hair feel really clean. Not sure I want to pay £23.00 for a bottle though.

Lush NogYog Soap. Nice. Have another in stash but won't repurchase when that's gone. Much prefer my Philosophy pumpkin shower gels that smell like this.

I am nearly out of my Smashbox Brow Tech. Had a look at this in Boots at weekend and the SA said that it will be discontinued in favour of the Brow Tech on the Go pen. I really love the powder and the brush I have and have tried applying eyeshadow (obviously not funky coloured!!) to my brows instead but it's wearing off during the day as it's not the same texture as Brow Tech or have any wax to set it with. Any recommendations for a dupe? I really don't get on with pencils. I have used my old Avon Glimmerstick today but it's too harsh looking and I end up with "Mr Men" brows as Emma puts it.

I use the benefit version "Brow-zings" or something similar? It's brilliant - I've tried a couple of alternatives, but not found anything as good. Plus it's reeeeeeeaaaaaally long lasting.

Baylis and Harding french lavender hand wash 500ml - wnb, came with the house!
Am thinking about other less favoured shower gels I might use up in the pump bottle. I've done the opposite of the pink rose candle philosophy and now I've just got nice Elemis/Molton Brown ones left, I'm certainly not using them as hand soap. Got a few bars of soap to get through first.

That's really interesting Susan and really good. I'm starting to think a lot of these products are made of the same stuff (although I wouldn't start washing with Fairy liquid!). I'm going to start using some of my shower gels as hand wash. And I've also noticed companies have started relaunching shower gels as 'new' products with new names, however when you look the scents are the same as they were before! It's all a con!

40-45 years ago, I think most teens resorted to washing up liquid as shampoo at least once. :o
We regularly bought sachets of shampoo from the corner shop, rather than a bottle. It was Silvikrin usually.

Shampoo was only for teenagers and adults anyway - until I was in senior school my hair was washed with toilet soap.

I can remember being very impressed with a green apple shampoo - it may have been Alberto Balsam. It was a much deeper green than the one they have now.

When I bought my own shampoos it was usually a lemon-based one, this was the default scent for oily hair for just about every brand.

And now I feel really old...!
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
  • Hi all!

I have two UUs to report:

Nivea Soothing Cleansing Mousse 150ml: This made my face feel very tight so I gave it to DH to reluctantly use up! WDNBA.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream 300ml: Love the smell of this stuff and it has a lovely texture & sinks in well. WDBA.

Vosene was green coloured. We used that as a family growing up in the 70's.

    2 more UU's today -

Nivea Pure Hand cream - WMBA this was quite nice. Did a good job without leaving any greasy residue. Have plenty stashed for now though.

Como Shamballa Shampoo - WDNBA I hated the smell of this...finally finished the last bottle...have a little of the matching conditioner left to UU and then i hope to never see/smell this product range again :) In case you are wondering these were unwanted gifts which I couldn't pass on simply because I thought they were too vile!!

Hi guys. I am back from my holidays.

    I have a few uu's

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream 50ml - WBA, lovely stuff.

Clinique Custom Smart Repair Serum 1.5ml - love this stuff.

Benefit Benebalm - I love the colour of this and the packaging but the product is very soft so it gets used up quickly and it wears off the lips quickly, there are other products for half the price which are better. WNBA
