    Hi all.
I've read several threads but an new to contributing. I have drawers full of toiletries. And lots of make-up. I find it very difficult to resist a special offer. My health is very poor and has been for a couple of years and buying toiletries cheers me up. I can't list all my stuff as my hands are not up to typing it all out! The amount of stuff I have is ridiculous and my resolution now is to only buy something when I need it not because it's on offer. As it says at the top of the thread there will always be offers. I have cut down a lot recently. And cut down on watching QVC, I've hardly watched any recently so I need to get that down to zero! So I'm here for support in not buying anything.
Hey you are completely in the right place. The amount of shower gel I have doesn't even fit in a drawer. It is overflowing in my wardrobe! I am the same, I buy toiletries whether I have had a good day or a bad day. Well done for the commitment! And welcome.
  • That's Monday done...need another holiday and a week at home to catch up with everything too:D A small UU here Boots Extract shea butter wash mini, love shea butter products.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

I just received a bunch of items from a friend so have to declare 41 ins, but have some out's to declare too.

So far my mother in laws christmas beauty bundle contains: 8 items

selling a bundle to a friend (50x items) at the end of this month

Have some outs from a swap: 12x outs

    Gave another friend 1x

    41 INS
    61 OUTS

I honestly been so busy with these sales, swaps, and GA's that I lost count on my actual UU's. Oh wells, next week!

Hello all and a warm welcome to the thread obop. :)
Don't worry Deleted_User, I am struggling a bit too. As soon as I have a bit of an off day I always feel like buying something to cheer myself up; old habits die hard. As long as you are moving in the right direction you shouldn't beat yourself up about it. :o
    .

Thanks babafette! Logically I know it would only cheer me up for a few minutes but it doesn't stop me wanting to do it anyway. If logic had anything to do with it I wouldn't have almost 40 eyeshadow palettes! I hope things are on the up for you :)

Thanks. I'm the same! I have stuff in my wardrobe and a row of SBC body gels next to my bed. I do get through some of those quickly but even so it's a bit much. Shower gel is what I have too much of particularly. I think some of those may be used as handwash.

  • Two more UU

    - Travel size Rose 4 Reine shower gel from L'Occitane. I love the smell of this, but notice it has SLS etc in it, so might be inclined to go for the REN Moroccan Rose instead in the future, which also smells divine.

    - Small sample size of Bio effect EGF serum: Was nice, but apparently this costs £125 for a 15ml bottle ... I don't think I will be buying a full size.

Welcome to the thread. QVC used to be my downfall as well especially as everything that they sell is "phenomenal value". I think it's the thrill of receiving parcels through the door that attributes to the shop as well but at the end of the day we can all only shower and apply make up so much.

I also think the thing with shower gels is that they are relatively inexpensive to buy as compared to skincare and make up so it's easy to slip a couple into the supermarket trolley or buy from QVC as again they will con you into thinking that you need a gift set of 20 bottles or those gallon supersizes that they sell.

Welcome back and thanks for posting about the Aussie Reconstructor. I have a travel size of this in my stash so now look forward to using it.

I am nearly out of my Smashbox Brow Tech. Had a look at this in Boots at weekend and the SA said that it will be discontinued in favour of the Brow Tech on the Go pen. I really love the powder and the brush I have and have tried applying eyeshadow (obviously not funky coloured!!) to my brows instead but it's wearing off during the day as it's not the same texture as Brow Tech or have any wax to set it with. Any recommendations for a dupe? I really don't get on with pencils. I have used my old Avon Glimmerstick today but it's too harsh looking and I end up with "Mr Men" brows as Emma puts it.
